The job was done as scheduled and on time, the price was what was quoted. My wife was concerned that the wiring was done properly. So, when we had the car serviced at the Subaru dealership for oil change, brake inspection, etc., I asked the service manager to have the mechanic check out the installation of the remote starter. When I picked the car up the service manager and I sat in the car and reviewed all of the functions of the Subaru key fob and the remore starter key fob. Everything worked fine per Subaru's design. The service manager was very complimentary of the installation done by Fine Details. He said it was the most professional job he's ever seen done by an "aftermarket" installer. Keep in mind, the Subaru dealership installs remote starters too - for 3 times Fine Details' price. Recently the remote starter quit working, I talked to Ken at Fine Details and set up a service appointment. They took care of the problem in a timely fashion at no charge to me as it was still under warranty. I recommend Fine Details as a service provider that you can trust! He conducted a very thorough home inspection of the house and the garage, including checking the driveway, sidewalks, roof, etc. He checked everything in the house from the basement to the attic. He checked to see if everything was operational, if anything was broken, in-operable, leaking, damaged in any way. He checked, electrical, plumbing, appliances, interior and exterior. I met Mr. Holm at the residence at about the end of his inspection. He then took me through, explained some of his findings and showing them to me and explaining possible remedies to correct a situation. Because of his thoroughness, I was immediately aware that some things will need to be changed before I move in. This information offers the possibility of renegotiating terms.
He also conducted a thorough thermal imaging scan. That scan provided information on the insulation of the house from the basement to the attic. This scan can also detect whether or not there is any damp/wet walls and or insulation. (NOTE: This is the second complete inspection Leroy has conducted for me. He conducted one in 2012 for me. Results of the thermal imaging scan caused me to back out of a purchase contract due to wet walls that were not easily visually detected.) This scan put me at ease knowing that there was plenty of insulation, no noticeable pockets of heat loss, and no dampness in the walls.
He provided a summary and a detailed inspection report of his findings. His report is easy to follow since areas that need immediate attention are graded in red. The inspection allowed me to determine what I wanted to do next. I could either pull my offer, continue as is, or re-negotiate with the sellers. He provided the detailed report the following morning.
Also, with the information he gathered during the inspection, he provided a general energy analysis. Between the home inspection and the energy analysis, I determined that additional work would be done prior to moving in.
Overall, Mr. Holm was so detailed, that he was able to provide extremely valuable information to me prior to closing on the home. His inspection was so thorough, the sellers were shocked to hear about some of the items since their inspector never found them. This inspection is a small fee to pay for the security in knowing what you're getting into before your purchase. His inspection has made me secure enough to purchase the property. I would definitely recommend him to anyone in the local tri-state area looking to purchase an existing home.

FAQs for heating oil service projects in Prairie Du Chien, WI
To buy heating oil for your house, contact local heating oil companies to compare prices and place an order once you decide on a supplier. The company will have to deliver your heating oil in a truck designed to carry and dispense heating oil safely. Call and order your heating oil early enough to have your oil delivered before you need to start using it for home heating.
On average, you’ll need about two gallons of oil per day to heat your house when it’s 50 degrees Fahrenheit outside. Most oil tank capacity is about 275 gallons, and heating your house with two gallons of oil per day will last about four and a half months. This consumption will vary depending on the climate and average temperature in your location. For example, if the winters are longer and colder where you live, you’ll probably need to refill your oil tank at least once to get through the winter.
You save money on heating oil in a few ways:
Make sure your home is well insulated and sealed against drafts and heat leakage.
Use a thermostat that’s working properly and calibrated accurately.
Program your thermostat to lower the heat when you’re not home.
Order heating oil during the off-season when prices are likely to be lower.
Summer months tend to be when heating oil prices are lowest because of decreased demand. Buying heating oil during the off-season also prepares you for when the weather gets cold, and you need to start using the oil to heat your home. Although heating oil prices will fluctuate, it’s best to avoid purchasing between September and April, as that's the peak season for heating oil demand.
Overall, heating your home with an oil furnace tends to be less expensive than heating your home with an electric heating system. Oil heating systems stay warm for longer periods of time without drawing a constant electrical current to maintain a temperature. Plus, heating oil systems typically have a longer lifespan and lower price tag than their electrical counterparts, resulting in short- and long-term savings.
