Darel's Installation
5.0
I was very impressed with Darel’s professionalism and his attention to details that I didn’t even know existed. He explained the entire process of the installation and kept me informed as it progressed. I continue to be very pleased with his work. I have referred him to a number of my clients and intend to utilize his services in my new home

Forest Floor
5.0
Forest Floors did a great job working with a floor in rough shape. Even floors covered with a black adhesive were redone The end result was a floor that looked good and would hold up to wear and tear. I also really liked the semi gloss finish.

NorthStar Restoration Services
5.0
Both Northstar Cleaning and Unlimited Improvements did an amazing job. The repair to the sheetrock from the leak was so good you can't begin to identify where it was cut out. They are very professional, flexible and do high quality work. Pricing is fair and reasonable.

CarpetsPlus of Wisconsin
5.0
This review is for the Carpets Plus loacation in Plover, WI. The salesperson, Mark, was knowledgeable, friendly and took the time to answer all my questions. He returned my calls promptly and explained every step of the process. The installer was fantastic. He arrived on time and took the time to prep the old floor, which was in horrible shape. He was patient while I decided on the pattern of the tiles. He was extremely knowledgeable and was a perfectionist during the installation, which I greatly appreciated. He was considerate about not inconveniencing us in any way left everything cleaner than when he started. I would highly recommend Carpets Plus, and would request Wayne as the installer. Great job

REFINED REFINISHERS
3.0
They did a good job on the living room floor, though there were a few spots in one area where the finish pooled and left brown blots. That would be covered by our rug, so it wasn't a big deal. However, in the threshold they installed, the wood pieces are all different widths and lengths; one little shim is a very light color, so that the spot jumps out at you. Finishing brush strokes went onto the dining room floor, against the grain. We were dissatisfied and called to have them come back to fix it. They did come back 10 days later. They gave no apology, just said that the finish must have dried too quickly. They refinished the threshold, without charge to us. However, there are still streaks going the wrong way on the dining room floor near the threshold. Those streaks were not there before they worked on the living room floor and threshold. The streaks will not be covered by a rug or anything else. They're right there in the open. We are not happy. And here's the kicker. At one point, my husband and I walked outside to the garden for a few minutes. When we came back inside, the workers were gone. They just left! They never asked if all was well now and if we were satisfied with the work. Frankly, we are no

Ken's Busy Bee Handyman Service LLC

After reading the reviews on Angie's list we felt most comfortable contacting this provider. I emailed and got no response, my husband called and got a return called. He was told to send an email for the things we needed done: New front door installed, Sink in bathroom replaced and trim work installed in great room after flooring guys leave. Never received a replay back after 2 weeks so we moved on to another person. Poor follow up and customer service

Rolls 'N' Rems Carpet One Floor & Home
1.0
The tile was not cut properly to set next to the wall, and corners had cuts about 2" out from the wall that had to be glued down, there were a couple rips coming out from the wall about 3" that had to be glued down, which is very noticeable (looks as though a blind man cut the tile)! The wood floors that were initially installed were not the color we had picked out, but the owner Sherrie, tried to convince us that we had picked out a pink hued floor (thankfully I still had a sample from them). After a couple of months, of half a floor installed, they finally came out and re-did it. The wood floor also had chips out of it, that we were blamed for. Everytime I would call, the owner Sherrie, would try and tell me, "it's normal for the wood to pop up in the summer time", "the wood is not suppose to sit next to the wall, so it can breathe" (despite it sticking out from under the trim). The carpet installer (the owner's son) let staples (at least 63 that I had picked up, after stepping on them and it going through my foot), they didn't clean any of the staples or nails up after installing the carpet. They didn't bother to vacuum up after installing the carpet, and it left an awful mess. Nails were sticking up around the fireplace stone floor, which Sherrie told me, "just take a hammer and pound them down". Why I had to clean up after her son is beyond me. In the basement room, that her son was working on, he forgot to tack the carpet down in one corner, about 3-4' down each wall. They also left a grease stain in the middle of the carpet, which I was told to clean up with water and a rag. Eight months after the carpet was installed, the carpet was coming out in tufts, when I called Sherrie, she told me we probably dropped 'acid' on the floor; when I told her we hadn't dropped anything and if acid was the dropped, it should 'eat' through everything, not just loosen the carpet to come up in tufts, she advised we probably did something, cause it wasn't the workmanship. I told her it was doing this at the seams, and she said "that is normal"; even though I told her there was a 3" hole where the carpet was missing. Finally her husband/co-owner came out and said, yes, there was something wrong with the carpet. Three months later, they are here to rip it out and re-install. Now I see the padding, doesn't even go to the wall, it sits about 3" shy from the tack strips. Thankfully she sent skilled carpet installers this time, and not her son. Whenever we had a concern, the owner would tell us, 'that was the way it was suppose to look', or it was our fault that there were lumps under the carpet, and it was normal for the wood floor to buckle even when you have the humidity level at the correct setting. It was worse than pulling teeth, trying to get them to fix their mistakes. Her son was one of the installers, and upon installing the carpet on the stairs, he forgot to do the section of the stairs between the top step and the landing. I asked them to hold off putting down the padding if the floors were really bad, so that I could sweep or vacuum, but when they took a break and I went downstairs, the padding was down, I could see next to the wall that there were dead bugs, and all sorts of "crap". When they installed the living room carpet, he came out and asked if the seam was ok, or if he should re-do it; there was a 1/4" gap between the two pieces, and I said he needed to re-do it. One of the installers told me that Sherrie had cut the carpet wrong, thus the seam was going to be close to the middle of the room as opposed to "off to the side". I have photographs of all the "mistakes and mess" that they made

"I had a leaking shower...thought it was because of the plumbing but it was actually because my original shower was not installed correctly. Tom expressed concern over this and explained the cause of the problem and what needed to be done. Best experience to date with a contractor. Tom and his crew were awesome! Quick to respond, very knowledgable and great guys. Tom provided me with good information on making my tile selection. Offered top quaility products and showed me ways to save money. He even coordinated with the plumber so I didn't have to also deal with that. They estimated the job would take 1-2 weeks and it was done in a week and half. They always cleaned up before they left for the day. I will definitely use them again if the need should arise.

"The garage plans actually called for a "notch" in the frost wall to hold the slab and MSH suggested a better method by increasing the size of the frost wall from the recommended 6-inches to 8-inches. This was a great suggestion that allows the slab to sit on top of the wall and will hold up better in the long run...not sure how many other contractors in the area would have taken on this difficult plan, let alone make suggestions to improve the integrity. The MSH crew is very professional and spent a great deal of time to do the job right. My only complaint with MSH is that they don't always get back to you in a timely manner, but that is a small price to pay for quality work at a fair price.
