"Rudy came to do an estimate on my basement. He was very quick and was able to give me a ton of different options on what he could install in my basement. He gave me a very reasonable price compared to most companies."

"It was all right; we didn’t really get anything worthwhile out of it.  She was pleasant to work with, it is just what she advertised versus what we got was way out.  There was nothing really robust about it.  She was polite and pleasant to talk to and what not but her work wasn’t that great. "

"Excellent attention to detail. Great creative ideas. Handled all aspects carpentry, plumbing, and electrical. Repurposed discarded thick wooden baseball bleachers and turned them into an awesome outdoor party house kitchen counter top . Installed ice maker and frig."

Backsplash Installation questions, answered by experts

It’s important to leave a gap in the corner when tiling to allow room for tile expansion. Leaving between one eighth of an inch to one tenth of an inch is enough space.

Natural stone floors, especially pebble-style tiling, are one of the least slippery options for a shower floor. Natural stone has a texture to reduce slickness, and pebble-shaped tiles add more visual and textural contrast while reducing slippage. Vinyl tiles are also designed with anti-slip texture for added safety. If you have a slippery tile, be sure to add a grippy shower mat to reduce the risk of falls.

The tile trim you use will depend on a few factors, including design preferences, budget, and whether the project is DIY or not. You might choose plastic trim if you want an easier DIY job that is more budget-friendly. There are also more color options available in plastic. On the other hand, you might choose metal to match your fixtures or for areas with heavy use.

If you’re out of spacers for your tile installation, you can use pennies. Each time you place a tile, stick the pennies around the edges (on the sides and the corners). Like working with spacers, you’ll want the same amount of space around each tile before they set.

Larger tiles can be difficult to install because they’re heavier and bulkier than their smaller counterparts, which makes them harder to haul around and put in place. Plus, if you don’t install the tiles correctly, they could crack or break. For these reasons, it’s best to hire a professional for large-format tile installation.
