"Alex and his crew at Green Design were fantastic to work with! Alex was incredibly accessible and returned calls promptly. He completed the work on time and there were no surprises with the price when the work was completed. The installation process went flawless. He went above and beyond making sure all of the sprinkler heads were exactly where they needed to be even though he did not install our sprinkler system. The lawn has come in perfectly. I would absolutely recommend him!"

"Ryan and Joe did a great job. I bought my house late last summer and my lawn was a disaster, moss, weeds, crabgrass, spots with no grass at all. I didn t do much with it in anticipation of getting it re-sodded this spring. I had some of the bigger companies give me quotes, but they weren t available to do the job until July. Ryan and Joe told me that wouldn t be a good idea. Since new sod requires so much water, it s better to get it laid earlier in the year. They were able to complete the job about two weeks after giving me a quote. The sod has been down for two days now and I ve had four neighbors compliment the job already. They worked past dark to get the job done, and even sent me before and after pictures, which I thought was a really nice touch. I highly recommend One Stop Propery Management."

Lawn Irrigation questions, answered by experts

Due to its slow growth, Bahia grass does not generally take over weeds. In fact, the opposite can be true. Young Bahia grass is susceptible to being taken over by weeds.

Likewise, in the cool season, Bahia grass goes into a dormant state that can allow weeds that thrive in early spring to get the upper hand. If you want to prevent weeds from taking over your yard, remove them by hand or apply a Bahia grass-friendly pre-emergent herbicide to your lawn before weeds have a chance to appear.

Provided you're using an appropriate starter fertilizer for grass seed, you can put down seeds and fertilizer at the same time. However, putting them down separately, one after the other, on the same day will help to avoid over- or under-applying the lawn food. Avoid using a fertilizer with weed control elements, as these will likely keep the grass seeds from starting.

Bermuda grass may be drought-resistant, but it still needs to be watered once or twice a week. The suggested amount of water Bermuda grass needs varies from season to season. Bermuda grass needs about 1 inch of water a week in summer, fall, and winter; it needs up to ¾ inch in spring.

No, watering dead grass will not bring it back to life. If the grass on your lawn is truly dead, no amount of water will bring it back to life. However, some methods can bring dying grass back to life. Consider aerating, overseeding, or analyzing your soil to get to the root of why the grass is dying.

No, it's not a good idea to put grass seed directly on top of dead grass. For successful germination and growth, grass seed needs good soil contact. To prepare the area, start by removing the dead grass using a shovel or a sod cutter. Then, loosen the soil, add soil amendments if necessary, and spread the grass seed evenly. This allows the seed to come into direct contact with the soil, promoting better germination and establishing a healthier lawn.
