"I have used Mike's Computer Repair for several years now, and have always been extremely satisfied. Mike is very trustworthy so I never have to worry about turning over "control" of my computer to him. I have called on Mike numerous times when I mess up something on the computer and he quickly takes care of my mistakes and doesn't act like I'm an idiot. I highly recommend using Mike."

"CESM did an upgrade of the electric service to our house. They also did a few other repairs that were needed. We were very pleased with the quality of work and his efficiency. We would definitely recommend them for any electrical project."

"She did a great job.  Everything was set up perfectly.  In the course of her work, she notices that one of my laptops didn't have the anti virus software installed, the way I had thought it was installed.  She repaired that also free of charge.

"Excellent service, very fast response to my request for service, picked up laptop, diagnosed issues. Initially thought it was an OS update issue but the hard drive had failed along with other components (including 'CPU). Because other components were involved, a new solid state hard drive was put into a laptop with a working processor - same type CPU as in the failed unit. The laptop was repaired and returned in less than a week. This company picked up and dropped off the laptop (driving from Huntsville, AL (about 60-70 minutes)-- great service in this covid environment. I would recommend this company to my family./friends and will use again."

Computer Repair questions, answered by experts

Aim for a uniform, smooth joint to ensure a good electrical connection. If it looks crusty and uneven, your iron tip might be dirty or the joint isn’t hot enough. To keep the iron tip clean, wipe the tip with a damp sponge or brass tip cleaner when you spot black spots or rust to remove any oxidation and flux residue. Tinning the tip surface with a small amount of solder offers a layer of additional protection.

When choosing a computer repair technician, check the following to ensure you’re getting a dependable service with a reliable outcome:

  • Technician expertise

  • Technician experience

  • Price structure

  • Certifications and other qualifications

  • Positive customer reviews

  • Guarantees and warranties

  • Data protection and privacy policies

  • Mobile or on-site service

  • Reasonable turnaround time

The cost of a repair depends on several factors, including the severity, complexity, and type of damage. Other key elements are the cost of any necessary replacement parts, hardware, materials, or required software updates. Labor rates and whether emergency service is needed will also influence the final price.

Slow performance, malware infections, and hardware failures are frequent concerns.

Most repairs take 1-5 days, depending on the type of repair and material sourcing.
