About us

WASCO Windows opened in Milwaukee in 1957 as Wisconsin Aluminum Supply Company, and was purchased by Dave Paulus in 1983. At that time, the company manufactured aluminum storm windows, siding and awnings. Under Paulus’ direction WASCO became the first company in this area to manufacture then-new vinyl replacement windows. Since 1983 the Paulus family has transformed WASCO into a company that leads the industry in manufacturing and installing highly energy efficient window products, engineered for Wisconsin’s unique climate.

Working with Wasco was a great experience all around, both sales and installation. We intend to use them again in the future to replace additional windows. They were incredibly knowledgable and professional. We would rate them an A++

We had this done several years ago. Compared to other window installers I had experienced in other houses, there was hardly any mess inside the house. They have kept our heating and cooling costs down. I did not feel pressure to purchase more than I needed at the time. I just finished washing them this spring and they are easy to clean even for a 75 year old. I also was glad to support Wisconsin products and workers.

The man came to measure went well, the installers were good. The salesman was good however he did not show me a cut away of the door or actually present any samples of the track. Just pictures and what can you tell from a picture??? The price was okay as I was anxious to get the door in before cold weather so bought it mainly for the pricing and thinking I would get in in about 6 weeks. It was 4 months and COLD when finally installed. The installation went well and only about 90 minutes. However after it was in I find out how terrible the threshold is. The track stands up about 1/2". You easily catch your toe on it, also stepping on the track your foot has no support. There is no raised panel to make the threshold even so you aren't' stepping right on the raised slide that the door slides on. Like stepping on a stick and again...you can trip on it easily. Also it was just a dual glass, not triple glas door. Hence the cheapness of it. I would never recommend Wasco for doors. Thumbs down all the way. When you buy cheap you get cheap so go for a better quality upper end door.

ok at first. They all leak iinside if the rain hits them. My interior wood work is ruined. I finally called for warranty and honestly am not willing to pay a service charge. I wish I would have shopped around before this purchase.
Response from Wasco Windows
"With 63 years in businesses and hundreds of thousands of windows sold our reputation for quality and reliability is unmatched. We have no record of this name as a customer. This is likely a competitor of ours making this up."

Everything went well from start to finish. Beginning with the initial phone call, the estimator coming by to inspect and measure, to completion of job, we felt we were in good communication with Wasco at all times. Very Professional company to deal with.

We had half our windows and two sliding doors replaced in 2014 and the other half of the windows and remaining family room sliding door replaced in 2018. Overall the windows are top notch. Our family room screen door seems ill-fitting for some reason. Windows are made in Wisconsin and are expensive but worth it.

It was a great service. Half of them down around 2014-2015 and called them back to finish the job around 2016-2017. It was a very easy sells process.

December 31st, 2018 Dear Wasco, My Dad and I purchased Wasco windows for our home in 2001. A total of 18 windows. At the time, my Dad considered purchasing our windows from several difference area companies. He traveled to each of them comparing the price and quality of the windows. After doing his homework, my Dad decided that Wasco would be the best company to purchase the windows for our home. My Dad was retired and I was still working. We decided to split the cost of the windows. I am quite certain that one of the things that helped my Dad to make his decision was the Lifetime Warranty that came with the sale. I did not think a whole lot about it then but my Dad did. A few years ago, I noticed the black seals inside of the windows had began to buckle. I also noticed the shades in my bedroom would move whenever it was windy outside. So I called to express my concern. I had not looked at the paperwork we had saved from 2001. I was scared to death to have a technician come and look at my windows because I knew it would be difficult for me to pay for 18 new windows to be installed. I was thrilled beyond measure when I was told that our windows were covered by the Lifetime Warranty. If I could have done cartwheels, I would have! The receptionist I spoke with was friendly and really helpful. She explained that she would send out a technician to look at my windows. A few days later Brad arrived. After closely inspecting several of the windows, he got out his measuring tape and measured every single window in our home. I was told that I would need to only pay for the trip charge ($54.95) and that all other costs would be taken care of. I was SO IMPRESSED. It is not often in our day and age you find contractors or companies who are willing to stand behind their products and work. This is exactly what Wasco does and did! A week or so later, Brad and Rob returned with brand new glass and seals for all 18 of our windows. They spent all day working. Both Brad and Rob were friendly and professional. I felt comfortable having them in my home. One of the duo stayed outside working in the truck installing the new glass and seals into the window frames. While the second gentleman removed one window at a time, took it outside and then brought it back in and re-installed it once again. It was quite cold out the day the windows were installed. I was grateful for how well Brad and Rob worked together and how quickly the windows were changed out. The new glass and seals have made a huge difference in the warmth we feel in our home. The shades do not move a bit even when it is extremely windy outside. I am handicapped and really appreciate the tip in windows. It would be extremely difficult for me to remove windows and screens to clean our windows. The tip in/out windows make it possible for me to still clean our windows. I am really thankful for this. I would highly recommend Wasco to any of my neighbors and friends who are shopping for new windows. Its wonderful to find a company and its employees who take such great pride in their products and service. Thank you Wasco for making it possible for me to take good care of our home and family. Wasco windows came out to my house many years ago and installed new windows and two exterior doors in my house. After many years some of the window seals began to fail as well as the two small windows on my exterior doors. I called Wasco and gave them my warranty number and after a couple days they returned my call after they found my warranty and all the proper documentation of the work they had done on my house. I was pleased to find out all my windows were covered under warranty except for the two small windows on my exterior doors as the doors were not made by Wasco. After a few weeks they came to my house and fixed all my windows and I was only charged for the two windows for the doors and a small fee of $99 for the window technician to come to my house and do all the work. Unfortunately I forgot the techs name that came to my house but he was on time and very professional and friendly. I strongly recommend Wasco Windows.

The salesman, John, promised us we would lose only an inch of glass around the edges of our windows because the pocket window would fit mostly below the sill. When the measurer arrived, he told us that the window was too wide to fit below the sill, and would have to be installed higher, losing 4-5 inches of glass. Disappointed, we went ahead with installation. The installers arrived on time, but they brought windows with full screens instead of half screens. When I reread our contract, I saw that John had written it for half screens only in the livingroom rather than on all windows as we had specified. That part was our fault for assuming the contract was written the way we wanted and not carefully rereading it. Lesson learned! The windows were installed well, sealed properly and work beautifully--a huge improvement over our old, drafty ones. The next problem was the half screens. About 6 weeks after installation, Maureen called to tell us that our half screens had arrived, but they were the wrong size. She would reorder and let us know when they arrived. Two months later, not having heard from Maureen, we called. Oh yes, the screens were in, sorry they didn't call. Installation was scheduled for Tuesday. Tuesday arrives, the installers arrive and tell us they have the wrong style of half screen, it'll have to be reordered. We call Maureen, complain, receive no apology, she'll talk to the installers and reorder the correct style, it'll take 1-2 weeks. She'll call me when they come in. Altho we like our Wasco windows and would even get them again, this kind of customer service is really annoying. Wasco needs to train some of their employees more thoroughly so everyone has the same information and orders are done right the first time.
