"The roofers were extremely professional and nice. They found that the previous roofers did not put flashing around the skylights. All of the wood around them was rotten. They had to take all six skylights out to replace the wood. They did it with minimal dust inside. They took the time to put extra ice and snow barriers around the skylights. They went above and beyond. I would recommend Brian and his crew to anyone. Todd from Hip and Ridge Construction is friendly, professional and honest."

"I highly recommend PDX Top Finishes! Their work is very solid and done thoroughly and well. The owner, Rafael, is very professional, honest, and trustworthy. Rafael worked very hard to fit us into their busy schedule and even finished the project ahead of time. We were very happy to find PDX Top Finishes on the Angi website. They were the first to quickly respond to my request and we were very happy to find this very capable company with amazing workers. They were able to tackle our project (that a few other companies said it was too major of a project to handle). PDX Top Finishes handled our project easily and went above and beyond."

Driveway Sealcoating questions, answered by experts

Regular sealing, drainage management, and debris removal help prevent asphalt deterioration, protecting and extending surface life.

You shouldn’t directly paint over an oil stain on your asphalt driveway. While painting over might visually conceal the stain, the oil will continue to damage the driveway. Once you’ve noticed the oil stain, it’s important to thoroughly remove it within the next few months since oil stains only take six months before they begin to damage the structure of your asphalt driveway.

A good rule for all homeowners is to seal every driveway to protect it. Wait at least three months to seal an asphalt driveway and one month to seal a concrete driveway. You know it’s time to reseal your driveway when it shows obvious signs of wear and tear. It may appear as fading or discolored asphalt, small cracks, and oil stains. If you notice that one area of your driveway seems to dry slower than others, it’s time to reseal.

If you don’t want to seal the entire driveway using a squeegee, you can use a roller instead. Rolling the driveway sealer also provides an even, sufficient coating, although it might require more skills to control the speed and pressure. We don’t recommend spraying the driveway sealer because it would cause more splash, hence wasting more material. If anything, you may spray the sealant and go over the surface again with a squeegee to ensure proper coating.

Common issues that require asphalt repair include cracking, potholes, surface crumbling, fading, uneven surfaces, weather-induced damage, and drainage problems. Regular maintenance is crucial for maintaining safety and aesthetics and can prevent more significant damage.
