"Beware of shipping issues with this company. Ordered an ice maker installation kit on 10/10/25. Shipping was due no later than 10/20 according to company and FedEx tracking. FedEx tracking showed the package at their facility for 8 days without moving beginning on 10/15. Called FedEx 3 times. Each time they said they cannot find package and I have to contact shipper. Shipper has to make a claim, they will not mark it as lost. Called Appliance Parts Pros twice. Each time they say FedEx has to mark package lost before they will do anything. They also state they have to wait 14 days from them before doing anything because of their contract with FedEx. I don't care about their contract, I want what was ordered and paid for. Just going in circles with them and FedEX. If they shipped after 14 days it would be 22 days from that point, 32 days from the date of order if they shipped it that day. There was a deadline for installing this part before tenants arrive. They did not care, would not m"

"From working with Mike to the having the install, the process was beyond my expectations. Met the salesperson Mike at the GB home and lifestyle show. Bay Area services was the only vendor that had and would talk price at the show. Within 3 weeks of the initial meeting we had our new AC at the best price. And we shopped around a lot. Mike never tried to sell us something we didn't need and was great to work with. The tech that installed the unit did a great job and didn't leave a mess. Haven't had a chance to really use the unit yet since it's still heating season but was assured once the cooling season starts if there is any issues that they would take care of it. Will probably switch to them for all of our hearing and cooling needs."

"The purchase of my new kitchen cabinets and counter tops went great, sales rep Greg was very attentive to all questions I had, made adjustments as needed, pricing was good, and they are made right on the premise, they came out to measure, delivery time was great, thought it would take maybe 4-6 weeks, we got in 2 weeks, delivery was on time promised, we did our own install. Counter tops were ordered and delivered 6 days later, installers were GREAT, Rodrigo and partner were on time promised, very professional, friendly, quick, cleaned up after, would not even know they were there, except for my new counter tops. " I have done a lot of business with Best 1 over the last 20 yrs or so in servicing my home and my rentals and they have always charged by time and materials and been very reasonable.  Recently, I had a hot water heater changed out in my home.  To my surprise the bill came and it was billed as a lump sum of $1984. I was shocked to say the least.  This was for a 40 gal, 6yr warranty, reg gas water heater.  They can be found anywhere for under $575.  If you add in $100 for a couple of extra parts  and allow $100 for disposal of the old water heater (which is very generous) you have a total cost of $775. They arrived at 3 pm and left for 45 mins to go get the water heater from the shop, and were done at 5:00  ( 2 men). That is 1.25 hours working time. Allowing for the .75 hrs  to run to the shop, that's 2 hrs x 2 for a total of 4. 1209 divided by 4 is over $300 per hr. Buyer beware I have since gotten several quotes that were over 25% less. Not the company they were under the old owner."

"This is the first online review I've ever written -- my experience with this company was that bad. Three aspects that deserve attention: 1) I placed an order and tried to cancel six minutes later. Turns out they don't accept cancellations. 2) I couldn't find a phone number, so I had to work the return/refund by email. The exchange was painful -- so unhelpful I felt like I was interacting with a bad chatbot. 3) I ended up eating shipping costs (expected) and got hit for a 50% restocking fee (unexpected) because I refused the package instead of paying to ship it back. Didn't matter that it went to the correct address, was clearly labeled, and had prior return authorization. So I ended up with a $21 refund on a $60 order, and a lesson learned about where not to buy appliance parts."

"It was excellent. All work was done properly. There were no long pause. He came when he said he was going to. There was a wood work that he did that we don't like and he redid it. His estimates were lower than the actual final cost. The reason why the estimate were low, some parts of the job changed after they were made."
