Schmelling Contracting

We were in the contracting/construction business for 30 years but are no longer. We hired Schmelling Contracting to install a new roof. He removed all of the old and reinstalled from the decking. I was extremely impressed with Matt Schmelling. From start to finish he showed up exactly when he said he would, or even early and did a great job. He addressed all of my questions professionally, in detail and was very courteous. He put his estimate in writing and there were no hidden charges. I would hire him again in a minute.

Matt is an excellent contractor. He rebuilt our porch, remodeled the bathroom, put 2 decks on the front and back of our home. He projected a month to complete all our projects, and despite some unexpected challenges finished ON TIME! Matt returned all calls, sent pictures/videos as we were not living there. Matt did an excellent job with contrustin new deck and blending in with existing porch. Would definitely recommend him.

Matt was very friendly and a very hard worker. He rebuilt our garage that went down with all the snow that we had. He also rebuilt our deck that also got wrecked from the snow. Everything that Matt did for us was excellent and to our needs. We would highly recommended him, and ask him back for anything else we need done in the future.?? He also asked us questions before he would do anything. Very, very reliable and understanding. Giving him a 5 star all the way.

Showed up on time from beginning to end. Good with the paperwork(estimate) as well as construction. Great with blending the existing roof line to the new farm style covered porch. Open to the style of porch we wanted (we had pictures, pictures). Quality work and materials, tidy and good communication with home owner. Matt is the best!

Matt delivered on what he was going to do. Would highly recommend him to anyone as it was a flawless job. He is a very hard worker with expert carpentry skills.
