"I especially liked the remote dealing with Frasier's because the property was not my permanent home, and they came in did the job and left no messes or damage. Great work and great people to deal with. I would definitely contact them again for electrical, plumbing, or HVAC work."

"He is currently working on my project and has fixed what previous companies messed up. He is honest and saved me thousands of dollars by explaining it was a simple issue worth only a few hundred. I have already reccommended him to 3 people. I would never anybody other than him."

Small jobs welcome

"From the initial call I placed to schedule service until Mario left my home, he provided 5 star service. He is down to earth and professional. He took before and after pictures of the vents so we could see the difference. Our home build was completed by a previous owner in 2001 and Mario's photos showed that this was clearly the only time the vents were getting cleaned since the home's build. He did such a great job, and I would recommend him to anyone that wants their vents cleaned. We are so glad we chose to hire him."

"The insurance company hired another remediation company on our behalf, but I contacted Rich for another estimate/opinion. Rich provided me advice via phone on multiple occasions, told me what to look for and assured me that the other company was following industry standards. Ultimately Rich came to our house to potentially provide us with an estimate on the rebuild portion of the remediation. Although we could not use Custom Craft Environmental for this project, I would recommend them to anyone and would definitely use them in the future, based on Rich's knowledge, responsiveness and professionalism."

Heating and Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

You should know the main components of an air conditioner: the condenser coils, evaporator coils, drip pan, AC filter, ducts, and refrigerant. Each part plays a key role in the performance and safety of your AC system. When tracking the source of AC issues or odors, it helps to know where to look. Your outdoor unit houses your condenser coils, fan, and compressor. Your indoor unit houses your evaporator coils, drain lines, and filter, and it connects to your ductwork.

Yes, but they don’t feel the same as an AC-cooled room. You’ll feel cool, moist air, opposite from an HVAC system that dries the air as it cools. Ventless units also have less tonnage than alternatives like ductless and central air, which means they aren’t as capable of quickly cooling large spaces or circulating cold air.

Yes, the furnace and AC use the same blower. The blower is located in the base of the furnace and pushes hot air out of the furnace and into the ducts. It also pushes cool air through the home when the air conditioning is on. Even though the furnace and air conditioning work independently of one another, the blower is an essential component for both systems.

There are many recognizable symptoms of AC compressor failure. They include loud banging noises, hot air being continually circulated in your home despite running the AC at full blast, uneven airflow and cooling, and electrical issues like constant surges due to the compressor working overtime. While some of these symptoms, like uneven cooling, can have other root causes, they are common indicators of compressor problems.

If you don't clean your AC evaporator coils, dirt and debris will build up, which impairs the system's ability to transfer heat. This forces the unit to work harder, leading to inefficient performance, higher energy bills, and frequent breakdowns. Over time, neglected coils can corrode, which may cause refrigerant leaks, or develop mold, ice buildup, and a clogged condensate drain, resulting in poor air quality and an uncomfortable home.
