"GREAT WARRANTY REPAIR SERVICES! Purchased $4,000 worth of vinyl flooring in 2017. Tenant in our duplex called and said the flooring was lifting up along a seam. Stopped at Stu's in Greenfield on Sunday and told them about it. Called Stu's on Monday and spoke with Dan, one of the owners. He said he would have a repairman out on Wednesday. Wednesday Tyler came out and fixed the problem - NO CHARGE! He said "Stu's just likes to keep our customers happy"! VERY HAPPY WITH THIS LEVEL OF SERVICE!"

I was trained as an apprentice in Germany after serving in the Army and continued in the trade after my return to the United States. I enjoy working with my customers from the beginning of the project to the end. I have years of experience and can help with any questions you have regarding various types of flooring. I accept cash or check payment upon completion. References and photos are available.

"John was extremely responsive (via email, easiest for me) and offered to do an in-home consultation about the work we needed done within 24 hours of the initial request for an estimate. That evening, John had provided an estimate, which was extremely competitive with the other estimates we had obtained from other contractors. John offered to help us shop for flooring and even offered a discount at a specific store, if we chose to shop there. The work was scheduled within 2 weeks (!) and 3 days later, our first floor looks entirely new - just what we were hoping for. Great work, reliable and trustworthy contractor. Would (and likely will) hire again!"

The complexity of installation depends on the type of flooring you choose and the level of expertise required to install it. While some materials, like vinyl or laminate, offer relatively straightforward installation processes suitable for DIY enthusiasts, others, such as natural stone or hardwood, often require professional assistance from a flooring company to ensure proper fitting and longevity.

Flooring installation usually takes about one to three days, so it’s a project you can do over a long weekend if you plan to DIY. Keep in mind that for some types of flooring, like hardwood or laminate, you’ll need to let the floor panels sit out of the packaging to acclimate them to their future home. This step will add at least a day to the project time, but it will help minimize the risk of warping due to changes in temperature and humidity.

Berber is a loop pile carpet known for its strength, durability, and distinct looped look. It can be made from a number of different carpet materials, including nylon and wool. However, Berber isn’t as soft as cut pile carpet, so it isn’t the best carpet for a bedroom (although it’s a good style of carpet for living rooms).

With that said, if you really like the look of Berber, you can still install it in your bedroom—it just might not be as comfortable on your feet as cut pile carpeting.

While it's possible to cover asbestos tile with carpet, it's not recommended. Encapsulating tile beneath carpet doesn't eliminate the health risks. Over time, the asbestos tiles could degrade, releasing fibers into the air and potentially contaminating the carpet. Disturbance during carpet installation or removal might also release fibers.

There are several types of flooring you can install over ceramic tile, including vinyl, laminate, engineered wood, carpet, and cork. Alternatively, you could install new tiles on top of your current ones if you enjoy having tile floors but don’t like the look of your existing tiles. However, before laying down new flooring, you’ll need to make sure that your tiles are in good condition. Otherwise, you’ll need to remove them first.
