"Awesome! David and his crew were professional and easy to work with. In my opinion they went above and beyond. Came back and touched up a few areas, and graciously let us add a few items not in the original scope of work. Excellent attention to detail. Lots of tricky edges and tight corners, and they did it perfectly. They covered brown siding with a lighter blue color, and there is no show-through. Their price was very competitive. We highly recommend them."

"Jill H. St. Francis, WI 02 9/25/2022 First to Review It started out back in Jan 2022.. He seemed nice and polite but it just went downhill. He started way later than he thought and he showed up very seldomly.. very little got done after the kitchen had barely been gutted at ALL..after first few couple months to start.... After that, he had a family emergency..I was very understanding of that and I waited and waited and waited.. I told him I would understand if he needed to end the contract but he said no, he would finish it.. numerous times.. Everything got delayed for months and he would over and over say he would be there and wouldn't be. Mary Jo( owner) would call him but she would say she couldn't do anything.....nothing really changed.I had to constantly move stuff and back out of the kitchen thinking He would arrive.. almost never did..After I ended the contract, I had other contractors come in and look and they said it looked like an amature home owner did it.. gaps, cheap material , uneven, not 90 degree angels, etc.. and it would cost me more than I paid him ( which was a lot) to re- gut it and re do everything to make nice.. I'm sorry about his family problems. but it was NOT handled professionally- I was not a priority it felt from the beginning and even less and less as time went on as he wasn't getting paid anymore since he was way outside the time line of the contract... Cheap materials, and he admitted even he had to focus on his family (so I was basically just a crap job).. Updated as of 9/26/2022 The original project was to be a total remodel of the one kitchen area( not the bathroom area in the beginning) It was to be cabinet installation, new floors, soffits out, headers, shoeing, framing around windows, etc.. When I saw how crazy the ceiling looked and uneven and not straight etc with gaps , I was very surprised and I thought- why is he just patching everything in a very uneven sloppy way and didn't he just put in a new ceiling?? So I mentioned it..He told me it wouldn't be a big deal..at least what he said, . Mark and I talked about the idea of the bigger kitchen idea to make it bigger way back in the Jan/ Feb- ish time frame but I decided to think about it for a little bit first.... .. he said' Well you can always do that as a later project" I did end up deciding to do it about a month later then since he was already doing the work. If he couldn't do it, he should have just said so.. That being said, I'm sure I'm not the first customer to ask to add things on after the start. Again, the family emergency was very sad and I'm nothing but sympathetic, but it wasn't handled in a professional manner. He should have just been upfront that he couldn't do it instead of dragging me along for months and months and months..very unprofessional and not nice... ... He also left 3 foot wide holes in the kitchen floor that someone could have fallen into the basement, huge not safe messes all the time so I couldn't even get through even though he said it was usable.. He was very nice but almost never showed up from the beginning when he said he would.. not professional.. I always was very supportive of his family issues and again, asked several times if he wanted to end the contract , he said no.. I had other contractors look at the current situation and say that they had never seen anything like it and they would have to totally re gut it to start over and make it correct..... wrong kind of pine for inside, not straight angles, gaps behind boards etc-Again, I'm very sorry for the family issues but it is a job and either he should have ended the contract much earlier or just gotten it done properly and done a proper job!- I always wished him the best.."

3151 S Quincy Ave, Milwaukee Hello friends and neighbors! Thank you for supporting my small, local, Bay View Business. I grew up in South Milwaukee , graduated from UW- Stout (check out their construction mgmt program!) and have been a resident of Bay View for the last 15 years-- it gets better every year. I live with my wife and two young daughters near Humboldt park--I continue to grow and learn new things all the time. I take great pride in my work and love the way it feels driving home for the day, knowing that I've made a customer happy by completing their job. I never take on work that I can't handle, although I think you will find that I have a wide range of skills. What can you expect from met?You can expect that I will treat each job with the time and attention that it takes to do your job RIGHT, even if that means I stay a few hours longer or later at night. A good contractor does things right for their customers. I will give you an honest, fair assessment then quote-- no story, no excuses. I was raised to be honest, have integrity and value relationships with other people. Most importantly I want you to be happy with the work that I've done and the money you've spent to hire a professional. I appreciate each job earned and the opportunity to provide a quote-- I hope that you will contact me! I have great reviews on nextdoor too! Drywall questions, answered by experts

Yes, it’s possible to hang drywall by yourself, but it can be challenging (and more expensive). Without an extra set of hands, you’ll need to invest in a drywall lift to position the heavy drywall sheets on the wall. You can buy one of these drywall tools for a few hundred dollars at your nearest home improvement store.

If you plan on heating your garage, you must install a vapor barrier when drywalling the garage. A vapor barrier protects your garage from frost and mold that can occur through condensation. If your garage is unheated, you don't need to install a vapor barrier. The only exception is if you regularly crank the heat in your car before getting in it. In this case, you may still want to install a vapor barrier, as your car can heat your garage.

Cracks, holes, water damage, and dents from heavy equipment often require repair.

You may need to replace drywall because of smoke damage. If the drywall is covered in soot, you may be able to clean it, but it will require a lot of time and effort. You could spend hours cleaning the drywall only to find there is more damage and it needs to be replaced anyway. It’s usually easier and safer to remove the smoke-damaged drywall and replace it.

You should wait at least 24 hours between each coat of drywall mud before sanding and adding another coat. This ensures the mud dries completely, although drying time depends on temperature, humidity, and the type of compound used. Lightweight muds dry faster, while heavier all-purpose compounds take longer. Always check for firmness and dryness before sanding or applying the next layer.
