Hello i just started my buisness in stanley wi klukas handyman services llc ive been in buisness for only a few month i can do almost everything besides messing with anything structural i ushally go by flat rates an i have contracts an will drive up to 50 miles from stanley wi you should hire me because im more affordable then most handyman aaround the area i also do scrap metal pick up that will fit in a 8 foot truck bed an plan on getting a pressure washer in the future

You can apply waterproofing over paint, but you won't get as much protection as you would if you painted the surface with a waterproof paint from the get-go. Otherwise the current coat will chip, crack, and fade, or worse, develop mold or an insect infestation without remediation.

While a pressure washer is certainly powerful enough to remove old and peeling paint, this is not a great idea to do yourself. The pressure washer is so powerful that you could actually damage the walls as you strip away the paint. It’s best to leave paint stripping to the pros. 

It’s best to use a slightly slower-working paint remover that is safer to use, such as mineral spirits, because the strongest spray paint removers are often also the most toxic. Many of these products contain dangerous chemicals, such as methylene chloride, which the EPA banned for most uses in April 2024 after it was established as a major carcinogen.
