"I contacted Accurate Basement Repair after my basement decided to spring a leak this spring. If Iâ m going to be honest, itâ s happened before, but not to the extent that it did this year. Iâ ve held off calling anyone out of fear of how expensive basement repairs can be and I was expecting the worst. Accurate was recommended to me by my mother and by another friend of mine. I called to schedule an estimate and the woman I spoke with was great. A few days later, John came out to my house to inspect my basement. He walked around and looked at everything inside and out. John recommended to do a drain tile test because although I had water coming in thru some cracks in the wall, I was not getting any water in the sump crock. He explained the process to me so I knew exactly what to expect. If youâ re curious on how respectful Accurate will be to your property, John did not want to cut into the carpet in my basement, he wanted to roll it back so it wasnâ t damaged.... I cut the carpet myself. Afterwards he wouldâ ve tried to fix the carpet I cut if I hadnâ t told him not to bother. After the drain tile test was completed, John explained the results to me in such a way that I understood. While my basement may need corrective repairs in the future, John made several recommendations for outside work that he suggested that I try first. If those donâ t work, he said I should do the corrective interior work. It wouldâ ve been really easy for John and Accurate Basement Repair to sell me a completely new drain tile installation to correct the issues I was experiencing with my home and I would not have bat an eye at it. If youâ re looking for a repair company that is trustworthy and honest, you donâ t have to look any further than Accurate. If the exterior repairs donâ t do the trick at my house, I will not have anyone else but Accurate do the interior repairs."

"Based on the foundation being brick, there was not the option to add weeps. Additionally in the middle of February, I did not want to excavate the exterior. Therefore the waterproofing was done from the inside. Renew added a rigid board covering onto the foundation interior which will direct moisture downwards to the new drain tile system and now the basement is humidity and moisture free. Very pleasant folks to work with too."

"Staff was always on time. Gave a very fair price. Only issue is that they had to replace a valve, as it was draining water daily. I would recommend them"

Small jobs welcome

"Central Wisconsin Excavating (CWE) did a fantastic job on our project. They built a solid, well-prepared foundation for our 80,000-bushel grain bin and graded our driveways perfectly to ensure water drains away from our buildings. Their attention to detail, quality of work, and professionalism really stood out. The site was left clean and properly finished, and everything was done right the first time. We’re extremely happy with the results and would highly recommend CWE to anyone needing excavation or site work done right."

Storm Drain Installation questions, answered by experts

The average cost to install a door is around $1,100, but you could pay anywhere from $150 for a hollow-core interior door installation up to $2,000 or a high-end exterior door installation. There are a few cost factors to consider to get an accurate price, including whether your wall opening exists, the type of door, the quality and security of the door, whether you need to replace the frame, and the door size. You can expect to pay $150 to $700 for a standard 36-by-80-inch door and between $400 and $1,600 for an 80-by-48-inch door.

While sometimes used interchangeably, screen doors and storm doors have key differences. Screen doors are simple structures, typically composed of just a frame and a screen, designed to keep out bugs while allowing air circulation. In contrast, storm doors are heavier and more complex, built to protect your home's main entry door from weather and intruders. They usually feature an aluminum frame with interchangeable tempered glass and screen panels, allowing you to switch between ventilation and insulation. A storm door offers more protection and versatility but generally costs more than a basic screen door.

Storm handles using universal hole spacings are interchangeable regardless of brand and model. However, some older models may require specific hardware. In these cases, we recommend replacing your storm door altogether instead of spending hours looking for a replacement part online. Newer models also tend to be more durable and efficient, so a new storm door could be a worthy investment.

You can determine what size storm door you need by measuring for the storm door. Take the width at the top, middle, and bottom of either your front door or an existing storm door, then measure the height on the left, center, and right of the door. Buy a storm door that matches your measurements' smallest width and shortest height.

Yes, installing or replacing a storm door is a manageable DIY project, especially for those with experience replacing regular doors. Many modern storm doors feature simple, pre-hung designs and come with the necessary hardware, making installation more convenient. With basic tools, a DIY installation is possible, though professional services can ensure proper alignment and weatherproofing. On average, installing a pre-hung storm door takes about four hours.
