"My spouse and I have met up with several contractors, but most of them have been trying to sell, not help. A friend recommended Natural Stone Restoration. We finally settled, and it’s been a fantastic experience getting the Counter Tops renovated. The communication with Zura has been stellar and reassuring; we are glad we made this choice because our kitchen looks so amazing now. Zura was able to work within our budget while promising to deliver the best. We took his word for it, and we are happy we did. If I could give more stars, I would. We highly recommend this contractor."

"The work went very well, my wife and I were pleased with the prompt professional service. The price was affordable and the work was great, once finished he cleaned after himself and made sure we were satisfied. I would definitely refer this company to anyone I know who needs any home repair work. "I had a great, convenient experience. He came prepared for anything. Had all the tools & even the PVC piping needed, so I didn't have to schedule extra apts. very efficient & mindful of my price range. Also did some random repairs, added a bracket to the basement railing to stabilize it, and even helped me change my smoke detector battery. Very pleasant experience and I will be calling for future repairs and some carpentry. Very happy with this new business."

"Knight Flooring did a beautiful job repairing and refinishing the hardwood floors in my home.  This work was done while I was living in another state before I moved to Janesville.  Ryan from Knight Flooring was fantastic at communicating with me long distance via phone calls, texts, and texting photos of the work as it progressed.  Knight was reasonably priced, provided excellent customer service and did a fantastic job.  Highly recommend!

Marble Restoration questions, answered by experts

Marble countertops don’t necessarily crack easily. However, they are more susceptible to damage than some other types of countertops. For example, they can develop etching from acidic liquids, such as lemon or tomato juice. Marble can also chip at the edges if you drop a heavy pan. A faux marble countertop isn’t as delicate as the real deal (depending on the material you’re painting over), but it can still get scratched if you’re not careful. Use hot pads and cutting boards to protect the countertop.

Common causes include impact, heat, and improper cleaning agents. Regular maintenance prevents major issues.

No, you should not put a hot pan or pot directly on a quartz countertop. While quartz is generally heat-resistant, the resin binders used in its manufacturing are sensitive to extreme heat from items exceeding 150 degrees Fahrenheit. This can damage the resin, leading to discoloration, burns, or even cracking. To prevent permanent damage, always use trivets or hot pads for hot cookware.

Use a pH-balanced cleaner, avoid abrasive materials, and reseal porous stones like granite annually to maintain durability.

Sintered stone and quartz are both low-maintenance materials resistant to water damage and scratching. However, quartz can be damaged by temperatures over 150°F, while sintered stone is heat-resistant up to 300°F. Both materials are comparable in cost, so ultimately, the decision will hinge on your preferences.
