"Right from the start C& S Landscaping was very professional and very enjoyable to talk to about my needs I wanted to accomplish in my yard. We walked around the yard and he understood what I was looking at to clean up the yard. Pictures were taken when the yard was completed. I was very impressed with the way the yard looks and made me feel proud of my house again!! I very highly recommend hiring this company for anyone needing help to accomplish your yard project!!! Thank you for giving me a gorgeous yard again!!!"

"I think they treated the wrong lawn. The note they sent me via text message referenced trees and shrubs in my yard, I have none. They also did not leave a yard marker showing they had been there. Otherwise, this would have been a 5 star review."

"We are so glad we decided to do this shower remodeling. The results are beautiful. Doug helped us pick out what materials to use and he recommended ways to get rid of water pooling and what nice finishing touches to use. The results are exquisite! Doug takes care of even the smallest details. The shower is lovely!"

My name is Dax with Midnight Run Materials LLC. We have years of experience in excavation and landscape. We are looking for new opportunities to help the community with any needs that are within the area of work we have knowledge in. We can offer many services outside of lawn and yard care. We have equipment and knowledge for bigger property management or new construction. We also have lot of knowledge in dirt road and driveway maintenance, such as driveway install and annual driveway maintenance. We also have the equipment for bigger mowing/brush cutting projects. We are willing to travel for projects outside the region. We are looking forward to helping you.

Lawns questions, answered by experts

Yes, it's perfectly safe and environmentally sound to mulch leaves with a lawn mower, provided that the layer of leaves isn't too thick and the leaves are dry and crispy. Too many wet leaves get sticky and will clog the mower. Thick layers of leaves can suffocate the lawn after the leaves have been mulched, so the layer should be no more than six inches thick.

Branches, leaves, grass clippings, and landscaping debris are typically collected.

While a river may seem safer than the street, blowing leaves into the water can cause a lot of problems. Leaves can alter the local ecosystem, encourage bad algae growth and block narrow waterways. In large numbers, leaf debris can lead to fish death events in nearby bays or lakes and require expensive dredging to address. That’s why many cities also ban blowing leaves into water.

It’s unlikely your leaves are a hazard, especially if you get to them while they’re dry. However, a couple of rare risks exist. University studies suggest that decaying leaves can produce organochlorines, toxic pollutants similar to man-made PCBs (polychlorinated biphenyls), so avoid keeping them in an enclosed area.

Also, leaves and compost may cause the growth of fungi that can cause diseases like histoplasmosis and aspergillosis, as well as mold spores that are unhealthy for human lungs. Again, severe issues are rare, but those with compromised immune systems or allergies to mold should wear face masks when directly handling leaves.

While minimal, maintenance includes periodic brushing, debris removal, and potential infill replacement if excessive use causes compaction.
