"This company is obviously nationwide and hires local contractors. I trusted Agies List that all contractors are licensed, bonded and have background checks. This person was a handyman and not qualified to wall mount, conceal wires, add electrical outlet. He spend five hours in my home, for a job that should have taken two hours and left the area in a disaster. The TV was hung close to the ceiling, the wires were hanging down from the TV, and the receiver was sitting on top of a plaster box because the cord was too short. He was obviously not qualified to install TV wall mounts. I have photos. As soon as he left, I called Best Buy Geek Squad. They were able to come out the next day and mount the TV professionally. I have used the geek squad in Virginia and they are highly qualified. They charge more than this nationwide company but you get what you pay for. I called Angies List the day after the disaster and said i did not want to rate this company but I wanted to talk to a manager. No one called me to apologize. I have cancelled my membership. Do not use this company unless you can be assured that the local contractor is qualified and is licensed. You should never let anyone into your home that has not had background checks. "

In the case of electrical overflow, an ungrounded outlet should trip the circuit breaker, staving off dangerous scenarios. However, this is not always the case, especially if the wires and circuit breaker are worn down or damaged in some way. Ungrounded wires melt over time as they are introduced to more and more electricity. In other words, a circuit breaker offers protection in most instances but not always, and that’s where the danger lies with ungrounded outlets.
If your breaker box won’t reset, stay on, trips when overloaded, or gets seriously damaged, you will need to replace the breakers or possibly the entire panel. A damaged breaker can lead to a fire, so it’s best to err on the safe side and look into replacement. Hire a professional electrician to replace a breaker box to ensure your personal and property safety.
You’ll need to locate and hire an electrician near you if there’s an electrical project you don’t feel comfortable tackling yourself. Generally, look for a contractor that specializes in the type of appliance or component that you need help with. For wiring, outlets and similar projects, a general electrician is your best bet. For larger remodels, a general contractor will often take care of electrical projects via subcontractors.
If you strictly adhere to electrical safety rules, including assuming that a circuit is hot until proven otherwise, and have some knowledge of how an electrical circuit works, you can likely replace a light switch by yourself without too much trouble. However, it's always advisable to call a nearby electrical pro to do the job if you're unsure of any steps necessary to change a light switch.
An AC disconnect, also known as a switch box or fuse box, is a safety switch that allows the AC’s electrical supply to be turned off from the outside, usually done by a mechanical contractor coming to work on your unit. The box is protected from the weather by a cover or may be designed as a pull-out unit. Your local code determines where the AC disconnect must be mounted, but it's usually close to your outdoor AC unit.
