"14 years ago, our basement had damage from flooding when we had moved in and there was starting to be evidence of structural issues with the cinder block foundation. They came in re-enforced the walls and installed a sump pump and drain tile system. "Rich Reimer inspected our basement for suspected mold.  It turns out we do not have a mold problem but Rich spent more than half an hour testing our sump pump (it doesn't work) and advising us to get a basement specialist in because he noticed a gap between our basement walls and floor where moisture (and resulting minteral stains) is causing problems.  Rich also noticed roots coming from the drain pipes that feed water to the sump pump.
