I have had a successful career in Operations, but its time for a change.\n\nI am watching my parents and my friends parents age and struggle to maintain their homes. "Sears' package of services allowed me to worry very little because they coordinated all the trades. Sears has a longstanding reputation for standing behind their products, something I had not found to be true with other contractors I had used in the past. Thecarpenter/job coordinator who did the refacing work was wonderful to work with, making minor modifiations as necessary to fit my needs.  I had not originally intended to purchase new appliances, but Sears offered me such a great discount that I added a new cooktop, double ovens (which required some cabinet modifications), and a dishwasher, which were installed by the carpenter.  He also coordinated the quartz countertop and flooring installations. All of the work Sears did was well done and professional. After the job was completed, I noticed that a door in the den that had to be cut off to accommodate the new flooring was a bit rough, and they sent the carpenter back to fix it within a week. I was somewhat concerned that I would not like the laminate used to reface the wood cabinets, but it has turned out to be very attractive, more durable than wood, and easy to clean.  No one can even find the seams in the quartz countertop or the Congoleum flooring, so I feel that their workmen are very experienced and skilled. I not only would recommend Sears to others, I would use them again for other work."

"The people they sent out came out, they came out , I think about 4 or 5 different times. I talked with the technicians and said, "this is ridiculous, the furnace is old" and he said, "we agree, but they only want to do the patching". They would patch it and it would break, they would patch it, and it would break. Finally, I said, "I want a new furnace. What do we have to do to do a new furnace. You've been out here, this is like the 6th time," and he said, "I'll have my manager write something up", and so they did and they replaced the furnace. They tried. They were more interested in patching things than replacing things. They were willing to send out 4 or 5 different parts. The things that I see that would help the most is if it were easier to get a hold of them on the phone or if their website worked. Just being able to contact someone in person. Sometimes, you can't explain everything online. We were able to get a hold of them, we were able to talk to them. It just takes some time, they had to jump through the hoops with their company, we understood that, but they came through and got us a new furnace. A nice new furnace too."
