"First, I would like to say your crew was nice to work with. We have not had enough rain to see if the job was a success or not. I would like to say that we were disappointed in the installation of the egress window well, but after your crew came back out and repaired it, it looks good. We were not happy that your crew did not say anything about the damage that was done to the rain gutter and soffit. I do not think they would have said anything if I would not have seen it and said something. When your crew came back to repair the egress window well, they told me they would go get some paint and paint it. That was not done, and that would not have fixed the gutter and soffit that is only a year old. Now to the inside, we think your crew did a good job installing the drain tile, removing the debris, and cleaning things up, however, we are not happy with the way the concrete was put back in. It is not smooth, there are stones showing, and we think we could have done a better job. When your crew came back out to repair the egress window well, they said they could grind off the high spots, but I told them not to bother because it will still look like a kid did the job."

"The inspection was performed by a sales representative. Though he was very professional, I felt that I spent the $79 basically to get an estimate for future roof work, which might have been available for free. There was one part of the estimates provided that I wanted to get done right away (extending a bathroom vent which vented into the attic to vent through the roof and spraying for mold). However, when I emailed the person, he called back to say that it was too small a job and they weren't interested. That didn't make me happy and made me less likely to do the more extensive work later with this firm.

"We are very happy with the end results. They worked in bad weather to get the job done. We would receive them any time. After they were finished our back yard looked as though they were never here."

The cost to install an egress window is $3,900 on average. This cost can be as low as $2,500 or as high as $5,300, depending on the window size, the number of egress windows installed, and the glass quality.
Double-pane windows average between $200 and $500 per window, whereas single-pane windows are more cost-effective at $100 to $400. More luxurious triple-pane windows are more expensive, ranging from $300 to $800 on average.
It can take up to three days to install an egress window. The window installation team will typically spend the first two days excavating the land where the window will go. If you’re replacing an egress window, it will be spent cutting the foundational wall to accommodate the window, if needed. Often, a window inspection is required to verify that the window was sized and installed correctly.
An egress window is similar to a regular window. However, this type of window opens fully to allow people to escape the home or rescue personnel to enter the home if an emergency occurs. Egress windows are required in all finished basements before they can be considered a living space.
Not only does an egress window add value to your home, but it’s also a basement requirement in most areas. Egress windows offer a 70% return on investment, making them a worthwhile purchase and installation. In addition, most building codes require an egress window to be used as an emergency exit and entrance. Therefore, it is a necessary addition to meet building codes.
There are a few ways to save money on egress window installation. First, choosing pre-fabricated windows instead of custom windows can help dramatically reduce the overall cost. In addition, skipping window extras, like customized frames or window film, can help save money on the price tag without sacrificing the window itself. You should also shop around to multiple window installers to find the best installation deal without sacrificing the quality of the window.
