"Last email from Christopher: "I will have Steven put on the schedule to come out.  Also we do paint homes with very good results.  I will also have Austin schedule me to come out and give you an estimate."  That's the last I heard from them - over 4 months ago.  This was an Angie's big deal.  In planning for it, I sent Christopher pictures of the two sides of a second story dormer with dry rot.  I also sent him photos of eaves I wasn't sure of.  But when Steven came to do the job, he had never seen the pictures, thought it was an indoor job and he and I both thought he should not be up on my steep roof in the pouring rain.  Getting it rescheduled took forever, mainly because no one seemed to talk with Austin, who handles the phones, or respond to emails or messages through Angie's.  But when Steven came, he did a great job on one of the sides of the dormer.  But - as per my photos and conversation with Christopher, two sides of the dormer needed fixing.  I asked Christopher to have the dormer fixed on the first available dry day and - because the work was so good inspite of the other problems,  asked for a bid on prepping and painting house and deck.  I told him there was no rush on the estimate but over 4 months is pretty ridiculous.  So, despite really good work and really nice people, this outfit is just too disorganized for me.
I took a long time to do my review because I kept expecting to hear from them and I hate giving mediocre reviews.
On another note, they had me buy around $250 worth of cedar (and used just a little over half of it) and charged me for all the nails, etc., but let me know I have a credit of about 40 minutes from the Big Deal because Steven didn't used the whole 4 hours.

"Joseph and his crew were delightful and professional to work with. I wanted a stamped concrete driveway and Joseph took time to throughly explained to me the color and seal options. They came in leveled and graded my drive hauled away some dirt and broken concrete set the forms and finished the site prep all in one day They returned a day later poured and finished my 73 foot long 15 foot wide driveway on one day. They returned a day later to clean up, remove forms and apply the sealer. Upon their departure they left behind nothing but a beautiful Roman slate textured driveway! In the end I could not be happier! My driveway looks great and literally sparkles as if it was natural slate! Just as Joseph promised! You won't be disappointed!"

Deck Maintenance questions, answered by experts

It is possible to pressure wash your deck, but it’s usually best to leave the work to a professional for two main reasons. First, power washers are expensive, and you can avoid high upfront costs by hiring a deck washing pro instead. Second, you must be careful to use the correct setting to avoid damaging your deck material. You can only clean soft woods like pine with a wide spray and a low pressure; otherwise, the water will leave unpleasant marks on your deck. Hard woods, composite material, and metal can stand up to increasingly higher water pressures.

Composite decking may never warp, or it may warp quickly. Several factors can influence the rate of warping, including the material's quality, installation method, and installation location. Generally speaking, high-quality materials that have been installed properly are drastically less prone to warping.

Deck boards should be spaced no more than three-eighths of an inch apart. This is enough space to allow water and small debris to pass through without collecting on the surface, but not enough to create a tripping hazard. Certain materials, like pressure-treated wood, shrink over time, so they may need less space at installation.

Most building codes list a minimum width of 36 inches and a maximum height of 7¾ inches. However, for the most comfort and spaciousness, you’ll want to aim for a width of at least 48 inches and a height of 7 inches. Again, it’s always a good idea to base your numbers off steps that you already use comfortably.

For the best results, stay off of your deck for at least 48 hours after sealing it. Giving the sealant at least two full days to cure ensures it can fully penetrate the wood, giving you the most protection from sun and weather damage later on. Walking on the deck too soon can prevent it from properly curing and cause your deck to weather prematurely.
