Urethane Deck Coatings and Epoxy Floor Coatings is our specialty. We install the Tufflex Deck System and APF Epoxy Floor Systems. We are a family owned business. John has over 25 years of experience in waterproofing decks and creating beautiful epoxy floors. He will be on your job to make sure it is done to our high standards. Residential and Commercial Installations. Sorry, we do not do maintenance on cedar decks.

"John was super responsive, very friendly and had no problems answering questions I had. The work was done very quickly after I initially asked for a quote. The result is a floor in our laundry room that is durable and looks great. John made sure I was happy with the color choices I'd made (gray floor, white/black color flakes). They cleaned up after themselves, leaving me with nothing to deal with afterwards. Can't wait to do the same to our garage."

"First, John is great to work with. He is (a) humble and (b) attentive. Two qualities I need in a contractor to ensure that they are hearing my vision and listening to our needs. Third, John is confident. Put those qualities together and you have a man who does great work with a listening ear and attentive patience (I drilled him with a bunch of questions throughout the process). Most importantly I felt comfortable having him and his team in my home. Can't put a price on that. Additionally, he treats his people well. I knew we were getting workers who wanted to be there because their team lead actually led them, you could tell there was tremendous loyalty. The only rough patch came when a dust barrier was forgotten during the grinding of the cement slab, which led to cement dust everywhere. John saw this, and his team stayed longer to work with us to clean up. Additionally, John appreciated this feedback and has service has gained additional experience so that this won't happen again. I never expect perfection and know mistakes do happen. It was a breath of fresh air having a contractor who recognized what could be done better rather than being defensive. To sum up, John did great work, was a pleasure to work with, and patient as can be. Highly recommend him and his team."

Epoxy Flooring questions, answered by experts

No, when done correctly, removing the tile shouldn’t damage the subfloor. However, if there was pre-existing damage to the subfloor from standard use or lack of maintenance, the subfloor may need repairs. For example, if the contractors notice mold growth on the subfloor or an uneven surface, you may need more extensive services before installing new tile.

If you DIY tile removal, remove the tiles one step at a time, individually removing the tile, grout, and mortar to prevent unnecessarily damaging the subfloor. Depending on the age of your home, consider having a professional inspect the subfloor to ensure it’s in good enough condition to lay new tile.

For rooms with an even number of feet (10 x 12, for example), you can technically just multiply them together to get the number of square feet in the room (10 feet x 12 feet = 120 sq. ft.). For irregularly shaped rooms or areas that aren’t even square feet, converting to inches will be your best bet for an accurate measurement.

When considering cork flooring pros and cons, you may have toyed with the idea of getting other types of flooring, including hardwood. But how does it compare in price? Your new cork flooring can cost less than hardwood, depending on the wood type you choose. Cork costs about $5 to $19 per square foot, while hardwood costs $6 to $25 per square foot.

Impervious or vitreous tile and vinyl flooring work best for the kitchen. These surfaces are non-porous (or have a very low porosity) that can stand up against spills, splashes, and plumbing leaks. Some natural stones are also a good fit, but keep porosity in mind. You may need to seal them to avoid stains and water damage to the subfloor.

You typically aren’t in any immediate danger if your floors are sagging, but that doesn’t mean you should leave them unattended. Sagging is likely a sign of underlying problems with the structure of your home, such as uneven subflooring or rotting joists. Have your floors inspected by a local carpenter as soon as possible to help you determine the type of repairs needed.
