This is a Family business with my 2 sons, both 21 and older and experienced. I accept cash or checks for my services. No sub-contracting, i or my sons do all the work ourselves. I give free estimates with no obligation to purchase. I have many referrals and 20 yrs in the business.

"Heidi and Wes were fabulous. From the start to finish they were amazing. The crew that installed the windows were very professional, on time, communicated the process, and completed the project on time with perfection. We highly recommend Northwest Windows, owners Heidi and Wes for any project."

Hurricane Film questions, answered by experts

Pea-sized hail can damage a roof if it experiences hailstorms often, as it slowly causes cracks and deterioration to your shingles. Usually, one hailstorm with pea-sized hail won’t damage your roof, but if you see other damage to your car, grill, and other property, it may be worthwhile to get in touch with your insurance company and have a local roofer come out for an inspection.

Hail damage is bad for a roof because it can leave the roof vulnerable to the elements. Hail may leave more than dents or scratches behind. It can actually cause the shingles to crack, which means water can leak into your home from the roof. Hail can also wear down the granules on the shingles. Without these granules, the shingles are weaker and more vulnerable to the elements, particularly wind. If the hailstorm is accompanied by high winds, it may take your shingles with it.

Most homeowners insurance policies cover skyight damage that is caused by hail. Hail damage is considered a covered peril under most standard insurance policies. However, this only applies if your skylights were properly installed. Also, insurance policies vary, so be sure to check your individual policy to see if skylight hail damage is covered.

Wind mitigation isn’t required in Florida, but it has several benefits. For one, it can help keep your home safer during extreme weather. It can also reduce the price of repairs after a storm. Plus, passing a wind mitigation inspection can help you reduce your homeowners insurance costs.

Standard homeowners insurance policies do not cover floods or earthquakes. These natural disasters are only covered by secondary policies or as an add-on via your current provider. This is because not all areas are prone to these types of disasters, so not every homeowner should have to pay for this type of coverage if it won’t be used.
