I hated to see a tree removed but they did an amazing job. 7 workers trimmed and cut limbs,removed the tree, used a wood chipper and ground the stump and cleaned up all leaves and sawdust. They even cut some limbs to 16inch lengths for firewood. Great crew. We are very pleased and will recommend them to our friends."

Senske Servcies began as a small lawn care and pest control company in 1947 by Bill Senske in Spokane, Washington. During the 1960's, chemical weed and pest control began to grow, expanding the family business. In the 1080's, after four successful decades, Bill Senske handed over the reins to his youngest son, Chris. Chris expanded the family business into new territories including Yakima and Kennewick, Washington. Today, the company headquarters are located in Kennewick, Washington and helps supports all branch functions and growth. Today, Senske has developed quality and competent staff in an array of service areas who can offer residential and commercial services including: lawn care, tree care, weed control, grounds maintenance, pest control, irrigation services, Christmas Decor holiday Lighting, and snow and ice removal. Today, the company continues to strive for superior customer service in which the company was founded upon. "Terrible. The guy was using a broken apparatus and the liquid mix for the injections was pouring onto the ground. I suspect that, because of loosing so much of it on the grounds, the trees did not receive the dosage required. Previous 2 years, not a problem and the bugs were gone. These trees are shade to my deck. Can't get anywhere near them now and Senske will not respond to re-treating the trees. I have emailed and I have called, countless time. No response to emails and calls are always the same story - "It will take 24-48 hours to get a response". Well, it's been lots of those! NOT ANYMORE! TWO and 1/2 YEARS and they're are a train wreck. Faulty equipment, failed services (that you have PAID FOR on your AUTOPAYMENT PLAN) and you can't get a response, at all, over WEEKS. My message to Senske: Maybe y'all should stop the endless office parties and start taking care of your customers. Try answering the phones or the email system that you recommend "Many of our Clients prefer to send an email for a for a Quick Answer On The Go". You never respond to anything, actually. SENSKE SERVICES has no idea what one office is, or any area based service, is doing -- 'SENSKE MOTTO: Let's give ZERO customer response and outlook while we F-around and party while good customers become our former customers.' Looks like a good place to start a new landscape company. Somebody will."

Licensing requirements for arborists vary by state and municipality, so you should use Angi’s contractor licensing tool to see if your arborist needs a license. Even if an arborist license isn’t mandated in your area, it’s a good idea to hire one that has at least a business license, business insurance, and certification from a third-party organization, like the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) or the Tree Care Industry Association (TCIA). Licensed arborists tend to have more experience and are more likely to provide a professional solution to your tree problem.

Trees growing within 10 to 15 feet of your house pose serious risks, so it’s worth considering removing them. First, branches that hang over and touch your roof can promote roof damage and moss accumulation, which can lead to leaking. Second, they drop debris into your gutters, leading to clogs and overflow that can promote foundation leaks. Finally, the root systems can grow into your home’s foundation, sometimes putting enough pressure on them that the concrete wall cracks, leaving you with structural damage. As such, it’s often a good idea to remove trees growing close to your home.

It is possible to cut down a tree on your property yourself, but we don’t recommend it. If the tree is short enough to easily reach the top branches, and the tree is far from power lines or structures, consider renting a chainsaw and removing it yourself. Trees that are larger than that, close to electrical lines, or close to fences, homes, sheds, or other structures should only ever be removed by professionals. Not only is the work dangerous, but you could damage structures on your property in the process.

Late August, September, and mid-October are the ideal months for planting a young tree. However, the best time to plant a tree ultimately depends on when the weather transitions to fall-like conditions and eventually winter frost. As long as the hottest days of summer have passed and the ground hasn’t frozen yet, you can still successfully plant trees.

A chainsaw is the best tool to cut down a tree, but you may also use a handsaw or ax. You may also want to use a lopper or pole saw to remove limbs before cutting down the tree. Wear chainsaw chaps and protective gear, including eyewear and earplugs if you use a chainsaw. Again, if you’re unsure about how to use this tool, this project may be one to skip.
