"Jon was very good at what he did. He installed a shower and worked on building a frame for our bathtub with tiles surrounding it. He was meticulous with his work and the tub turned out beautifully done. His price was reasonable as well. He took his time for the work so if you are patient, you will get good results from him."

"I contracted Derrick to repair a storm-damaged carport roof. His work is absolutely top-notch and is far superior to the original construction as well as incredibly reasonable. Derrick took the time to describe why the roof failed, and provided several options to ensure that would not happen again; and educated me about roof maintenance and methods as well. He definitely takes pride and joy in his work, delighting in doing a job absolutely right. I will definitely hire Derrick and Kraftsmen Services again; and strongly recommend him and Kraftsmen Services for literally any and all projects."

Small jobs welcome

Been doing general contracting work for a custom home builder/remodeler for the past 4 years now. Prior to I was also a full time landscaper (pavers, grading, trimming/pruning, large scale mowing and weedwacking, ect). Been wanting to make some extra cash on the side for me and my Fiancé for our upcoming wedding. My current specialties include but aren’t limited to appliance install, bathroom fixture replacement/repair. Door repairs/total replacement. (Think of if you have a squeaky door or a door that’s rubbing.) I’ve installed full cabinet setups in ADUs. I also do trim work/window encasements, small drywall patchwork, or other small work that might need to be done to either make your house feel a bit more lively or needs a good eye before being sold! I look forward to the opportunity to work with you and make your home feel just that much more better!

Caulking Services questions, answered by experts

Whether a scullery is worth it depends on how much you like to cook and entertain. If you frequently host gatherings—a scullery is likely worth the money. If you’re looking for ROI, it’s not so clear. It may not add significant value to your home, as it doesn’t increase square footage and may repurpose space that a buyer would have preferred to remain as-is (like a laundry room).

In most states, handypeople do not need to be licensed to perform simple home repair tasks and smaller jobs. When projects exceed specific cost amounts, however, ranging from $500 in California to $50,000 in other states, some municipalities consider them to be contractors, meaning they need to be licensed. To learn if your handyperson should be licensed to work on your job, contact your local governing body or state contractors’ licensing board before starting any work.

While handypeople do not need to be licensed in many places, you should only hire insured pros for any home improvement work. Your handyperson should have active liability coverage that protects them and you in the case of an error or accident. Furthermore, if they have employees on your property, they should also have workers’ compensation insurance. If you hire an individual or a company that is not insured and they damage your property, have an accident while on the job, or become injured on your property without insurance, you can be held financially liable.

Yes, many repair services include blade sharpening as part of the maintenance package.

Almost all houses require soffits. The exception is in houses where you know without a shadow of a doubt there is adequate airflow throughout the entire house including, and most importantly, the attic. Almost all modern homes have soffits installed whether you notice them or not because on most homes, the roof eave extends beyond the walls of the home, naturally creating soffits.
