"I couldn't be happier with the work Hadrian performed. Everything looks beautiful. I found Hadrian great to work with, he was informative and kept me up to date on the progress. I will be doing the master bathroom in a few months and will not hesitate to have Blue Tile & Marble do the work."

"Excellent communication throughout the project. The team removed an old tub, installed a new washer and dryer unit, added a countertop, and completed detailed tile work. The job site stayed clean, and the workmanship exceeded expectations. Highly satisfied and would confidently recommend them for reliable, professional service."

"Disappointed. Sound Tile and Grout was on the pricer side and I definitely did not feel that I received what I paid for. Part of the initial install was done poorly (more joints than necessary, see picture) and required the provider to return to reinstall portions of the tile which I was charged extra for. The provider did not clean up at the end of each day nor was the area thoroughly cleaned after the job was completed. The provider left pieces of tile on our front sidewalk and a track of dirt and debris down our stairwell. Grout haze was also not fully removed. At the end of the day the completed install did turn out well, but I would not recommend this company due to the above concerns."

"I had an amazing experience with this business at my newly purchasd condo. I initially hired Stephen Aiello to re-grout my shower tiles. He went way above and beyond my expectations and helped me fix my entire shower after other issues came up once the work started. He explained the situation and gave me options to fix the problems. He was able to finish the project beautifully and gave me such a great cost to fix it all. He is professional, timely, has a lot of integrity in his work and business. If I could give him a 10 star I would, because he and his business deserve it. I would highly recommend this company for your future repairs and renovation work. I will refer him to all my friends and family and continue to use him for future projects. Thank you so much!"

Repair Bathroom Tile questions, answered by experts

Installing a bathroom in a basement isn’t a project for most homeowners. Many parts—plumbing, electricity, and carpentry—go into this project, each requiring expert-level knowledge and tools. One miscalculation can lead to very expensive repairs. Plus, some homeowner’s insurance might not pay for damages caused by a homeowner DIYing this project. You can protect yourself by allowing the pros to complete this job for you.

The average cost to convert a tub to a shower is around $3,000, but prices can range from $1,000 to as high as $15,000. A more typical range is between $1,200 and $8,000. The final cost depends on several factors, including the amount of plumbing work required, the size of the shower, and the type of materials and fixtures chosen. A prefabricated shower stall is a more budget-friendly option, while a custom shower with features like luxury tiles, unique tiling, smart technology, or accessibility features will be at the higher end of the cost spectrum.

When working on your bathroom floor tiling, you should always tile the floor first and then refit the toilet afterward. This has both practical and visual advantages—the tile will have a better seal, and the installation will look cleaner.

On the other hand, when you try to cut the tiles to fit around the toilet, you’re putting yourself at a disadvantage. It’s a lot more work, it’s hard to be precise, and mistakes or miscalculations can lead to future moisture damage to the tiling, grout, and subfloor.

Undertaking a bathroom demolition might seem achievable for a DIY enthusiast, but it's a substantial endeavor that works up a sweat. Before diving into the teardown, it is essential to acknowledge the associated risks and complete the necessary preparations, including permits and a plan for waste management. From gathering the right tools to ensuring utility shut-off, these measures are vital to a successful outcome and mitigating potential pitfalls.

Major changes like electrical, plumbing, or structural work generally require permits. Check local regulations.
