"It was way too expensive for the work that was performed. They originally said that the pipes leading up to the faucet may need to be replaced and the wall opened up. Previously before engaging them. I asked for a possible quote for how much it would cost and they told me that it was up to the technician. When they came out to do the work that they would determine the amount. I asked the technician how much it would and he told me that it was up to the company to decide for how much the work would cost. When I contacted the company they told me again that it would be up to the technician to determine the how much it would cost by checking the amount of work. I could not get an answer from both of them because they would just keep passing each other on who to ask for the quote. After the project was completed, I was given the bill of about $750+ to replace the faucet, to replace the hoses and the two knobs roughly $350+ each. When I called the company about the price, I was transferred to the dispatchers and was told that I need to talk to the technician for it."

"Marlon (NW Autowork) is top notch! I have a e90 m3 and had him and his tech Spencer install solid rear subframe bushings for me. They did a fantastic job! A+. If you have a bmw I highly suggest this shop especially if you’re in the Tacoma area. I’d say they are the best and I wouldn’t even bother with any other shops if you have a bmw and live in the south end. They are really the best and pricing is fair. You’ve earned my trust Marlon and Spencer is awesome. I’ll be back again for future mods A++++ Thank you again guys!"

In most cases, a flexible steel hose connects your gas line to the wall. This process is typical if you are replacing your gas stove or if the old pipe has worn down. There isn’t a way to convert electric fireplaces easily or cheaply to gas. The process requires major renovations, as opposed to wood fireplaces, which are often already vented and have space for the gas-burning equipment. Only yellow Teflon tape is approved for use on gas lines. Also called yellow PTFE tape, it is thicker and specifically rated for use on natural gas and propane connections. Standard white Teflon tape is not safe for gas applications. Some natural gas furnaces can be converted to propane with a conversion kit, but not all models are compatible. Consult a licensed HVAC pro to determine if conversion is possible and cost-effective for your system. The process involves changes to burner orifices and safety controls, and must be completed to code.

Temporarily capping a gas line—for renovations or during travel—doesn’t require a permit. If you plan to remove a gas line and cap it completely, you’ll need to apply and pay for one through your town or city. Depending on your region and its local codes, you may pay between $25 and $100. To avoid a gas leak or other hazards, some cities take the job of permanently adjusting or capping a gas line out of the hands of homeowners.
