"Five Star review for Rafael and his team. Tree(s) completely removed in one afternoon with everything hauled off site before they left. His team extremely hard working, obviously very experienced with tall tree removal. They made a very difficult job almost look easy, a wonder to watch from a safe distance below. I highly recommend Brother’s Landscaping and would hire them again for a difficult tree removal project. M Sullivan, Gig Harbor"

"Just moved in and yard had been sorely lacking in maintenance. David's crew removed a truck load of debris, trimmed all the trees, mowed the lawn, trimmed along the edges, weeded plant beds, trimmed bushes, cut back all the grass and weeds in the "ditch" along the road, used a leaf blower to clear the deck... It was a three person crew and they worked all day to clean it up. I am very pleased with the final results and will use David's service for future bi-weekly maintenance of the yard. Even a neighbor exclaimed at how much better it looks!"

Lawn Irrigation FAQs, answered by experts

Some grass types grow better than others on hard dirt. For example, hardy grass types like perennial ryegrass and Kentucky bluegrass will grow better on tough soil. Keep in mind that you should still consider your area’s climate when deciding on a grass type.

Costs depend on property size, service frequency, and additional tasks like aeration or overseeding.

In the fall, you should aerate the soil, overseed the bare spots, kill weeds, mow the lawn low, and rake your leaves. By boosting your lawn’s health in the fall, your grass will be stronger throughout the winter and come back healthier in the spring. You should also trim your perennials so that they withstand the winter and are ready for new growth in the spring.

Seeding fills bare spots, improves lawn density, and enhances overall appearance and health.

It costs $1,500 on average to hydroseed a 1/2-acre lawn professionally. DIY hydroseeding costs about $300 to $500 for the machine rental, plus the cost of your seed, mulch, and fertilizer. Often, it makes sense to hire a local lawn seeding service to hydroseed for you to ensure the best coverage and growth.
