"this company was a no show. I stayed home all day waiting, he called 5 minutes before he was to arrive and said he had gotten hung up on another job and would come about noon. At 130 having not shown up, i called and left a message. No response. Called Angi phone number. Now I'm struggling with not being able to know who the new company is, they are coming Monday, Angi has my money. I don't know if the replacement person will know what I want worked on in advance. Not happy about all this!"

"One of the workers told my husband "to take his no tooth a** back in the house" when he complained. I called the company and let them know and I actually just got off the phone with Nell and he owned up to saying that to my husband but he also lied and said that my husband swore at him which is not true and he's not in any trouble like apparently they think it's okay for their employees to talk to people that way. They're rude unprofessional they do a p*** poor job, insult residents, they didn't do the job, the leaves weren't blown out or cleaned up. They actually made a bigger mess than anything else."

"Terrible company. Possibly a scam. They attempted to sell me a part they didn't even have, and after waiting patiently for OVER A MONTH, I canceled my order. When calling them to confirm, they told me they never had the part to sell to me. What a joke!"

Lawn Tool Repair questions, answered by experts

Lawn mower repairs typically range from $40 to $90, with most people spending right around $60. However, your final total will depend on the type of lawn mower you have, the repair needed, and part availability.

If you are a skilled DIYer with experience, you can do certain lawn mower repairs yourself. However, if you’ve never worked on a lawn mower before or if your mower needs extensive repairs, it’s best to let a skilled lawn mower technician work on your machine. While it might be a little more expensive due to the cost of labor, nothing beats knowing that the job was done successfully (and often with warranties).

How often you tune up a lawn mower depends on how often your lawn mower is used. Minimally, it should be tuned up once a year. If you use it regularly or have a vast lawn, tuning it up every 100 hours is advisable.

Yes, you can tip a lawn mower on its side as long as you turn it with the carburetor side upwards. This prevents oil from leaking into the carburetor and reducing performance. You can also tip the mower backward as long as it's stable while you're working on the deck or blades for safety.

The best and safest way to deal with used motor oil is to bring it to an approved facility to be recycled and refined into new material. You may see recommendations to use old oil as an equipment lubricant or wood stain, but using it in these ways can be dangerous, messy, and environmentally irresponsible.
