This time, i brought a much nicer truck in, that had been running well until a sudden loss of power, metallic plinking noise, and significant dark smoke through exhaust. I tried to diagnose it myself and had several mechanic friends provide their insight, but alas, we were unsuccessful. Joe (and his staff) were top quality from start to finish. He didnt offer me any wild promises (like most shops) to try to get me in the door. He just told me that he would do his best and only charge me for the time he puts into it (stating that his initial inspection is ~$100). I agreed and had the truck transported to his shop. He patiently waited while I told him what i knew of the truck and its problem(s). Then asked what my urgency was. I told him that i was not in a hurry, but would like to see it diagnosed within the week. He agreed. Two days later, Joe called to tell me the diagnosis: one of the injectors is damaged (and it is flooding piston #6). His advice: replace all six (6) injectors with new injectors. This would sound crazy to someone who is unfamiliar to diesel engines, but it would be reckless to replace one (1) injector at a time. Besides, these injectors are all well worn (original injectors) as the truck has 140,000 miles. He also pointed out that my Pyro probe was installed incorrectly (which I knew, but didnt have proper tools to safely correct the issue). He offered to correct if for me (charging me for the time he puts in), which i gladly accepted. I also requested that he put in a new after market lift pump. I was unfamiliar with the benefit for a high gpm pump, so he suggested (as this truck is typically a daily driver and light work truck) that i go with the lower flow option. This lower flow option turned out to be perfect for my use. Even when hauling several thousand pounds uphill, i have never come close to maxing its capacity. With the new lift pump (to meet the manufacturer warranty) it was required to replace the fuel filter, which he did. All this work was done within another week. Most of the time was waiting for all the parts to arrive. Total cost: $4,700 Total time: two weeks Service satisfaction: Very High :-) I did not enjoy the fact that i had to get my truck fixed, but i am very glad that Joe and his staff at Custom Diesel Performance were available to help me. They showed the highest professionalism that i could have expected. No games, no gimmicks, just good service. FYI, my truck is still running great. No problems since this service (6 months ago). The whole system( its a heat pump) gets a $1200 rebate from the PUD, the duct system gets pressure checked and repaired if needed, the whole system gets a 10year warranty on compressor and parts. Plus the Heat pump will use less electricity in the winter too. The best bang for the buck is to replace/upgrade the whole system. They even kept contact with me every few months. I have already scheduled for the 4th week of Feb 2013 to replace the whole system... "},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/wa/moses-lake/basin-service-reviews-6503976.htm"},"position":10}]}
Well And Pump Service reviews from real Angi homeowners in Ephrata, WA
They're so fast and clean! My lawn was overgrown and they took care of it quickly, not 20 minutes after I made the call. They put me on a mowing schedule at a very reasonable rate- even taking away the clippings after. they may be hard to reach by phone, but texting works just as well.
showed up early to get setup to start on time and ask me several if the job was to my exceptions clean up went well and overall performance was great

Residential and business water treatment systems. Water softeners, UV lights. We will analyze your water for contaminants such as chlorine, low pH, iron, bacteria, and devise a system to suit your needs. Treat your water from the source, as it enters your home, so whether you are drinking it, cooking with it or bathing in it, your water is pure.
"The process was quick and easy. I just provided a water sample. It was determined that I had high levels of chlorine in our drinking water. I was able to solve my water problems with only one filter. Why did I wait years to have this done? Now I can be confident that our water is safe. Highly recommended."

FAQs for well and pump service projects in Ephrata, WA
Estimating what size well pump you need is challenging and often inaccurate, but a general rule of thumb is to take the number of fixtures—including water-consuming appliances—in your home and aim for that number in gallons per minute. That calculation method would allow for every fixture in your home to use about one gallon of water per minute. However, it’s best to leave the pump size determination to a professional technician, as they can ensure your pump is providing your home with sufficient water, especially during peak usage hours.
Some states and municipalities restrict well pump repair and replacement to licensed plumbers and technicians, while others don’t have requirements. However, it’s always a good idea to hire a certified plumber to repair or replace well pumps and water pumps. Certified professionals are far more likely to get the job done correctly and prevent future issues, which is especially important for ensuring access to clean water for your home.
It’s possible to fix a broken well pump yourself, but we don’t recommend it. Well pumps are hard to reach and service without the proper equipment, and even if you can reach the pump, it involves working in close proximity to water and electricity, which can be extremely dangerous. Any mistakes made during the repair process could contaminate your water supply or put you and your home at risk. Additionally, some states require that a licensed plumber carry out well pump repair. It’s worth it to hire a professional water pump repair service.
The average cost to repair a well pump is $950, with most well pump repairs ranging between $100 and $2,900. A few factors influence your total repair cost, including the component of your well that needs repair or replacement, the extent of the damage, the accessibility of the pump, and the age and size of your well pump. It might be more cost-effective to replace your well pump if it’s old or has multiple broken components, as the average cost to replace a well pump is $1,800.
Most professional well and water pump technicians will take between two and four hours to replace an above-ground well pump, while a submersible well pump typically takes four to five hours to access and replace. You can also ask your well pump replacement technician how long they expect the process to take, as some jobs take just an hour or two. Keep in mind that you’ll be without access to water during the replacement process, so plan ahead by showering early and stocking up on bottled water for drinking and cooking.
