"Dave was doing a job for our neighbors when we made contact. We have hired him twice now, the first time to drop a few trees and add rock to a front swell area. Came out fantastic! This second job was to clean up and add rock to our driveway that we had widened and to refresh the old gravel with new. Dave did a great job, he is very efficient and did the job in less than a day. His pricing is unbeatable and the quality of work is excellent. Thanks Dave!!"

"I have worked with trackwest fencing on several occasions. They've always sent trustworthy people who can communicate well and produce a really good product. I've done a lot of fencing work in the past but they've always come up with new techniques that I learned from. I plan on working with this company on many occasions in the future."

"I was getting a vacant lot prepped for placement of a modular home. Keenan understood what I was looking for. He asked questions and offered suggestions on items I had not thought of. There were changes that had to be made to the original plan. He rolled with them and my lot is ready for my new home delivery. He and his crew were very professional and thorough. I highly recommend them for your project. You will be pleased."

Land Clearing Services questions, answered by experts

If you’re planning to dig on your property, you’ll need to check for underground utility lines. Call the national call-before-you-dig 811 number. Once connected to an operator, you can schedule a site visit to mark underground lines. This way, you won’t accidentally dig into pipes and can cause major (read: costly) issues.

Depending on the type of land survey, the report will mark the boundaries of your property, the topographical changes of the landscape, as well as major natural and added structures to the plot. A more detailed survey, like an as-built survey, will note the measurements of the structures and landscape following major construction. A topographic survey will also help your contractor determine the cost of land development projects.

Detailed mapping of elevation changes and natural features on the property.

A few different types of land surveys can help determine certain features and boundaries of your property. These include:

  • Boundary surveys describe the actual borders of a property. These are generally required when trying to get construction permits issued.

  • Location surveys provide much of the same information as a boundary survey but also include in-depth information about any improvements made to your property.

  • Mortgage location surveys are usually required by lenders and title companies before financing or offering an insurance policy.

  • Site-planning surveys are done before applying for building permits and can be issued before any major home improvements.

  • Topographic surveys provide a formal map of land elevations. It can also describe the location and size of natural features and any land improvements.

There are a couple of ways you can determine the depth of your well. One method is to use a device called a well sounder. This tool has a long measuring tape containing a sensor to alert you once the end reaches the water.

Or you can DIY it by using a long tape measure with a half-filled bottle of water attached to it. Lower the tape measure into your well. Once you feel tension on the tape, you’ll know the bottle has reached your static water level. This will give you an approximate idea of your well’s depth.
