"These folks are fantastic! We started with a rickety, second story, 600 sq. ft. deck, with past-its-prime cedar decking and muddy ground underneath. Eagle Outdoor Living took on the job, and now we have a 900 sq. ft. Timbertech deck with a carport and dry work/storage/leisure space under it, protected with metal roofing and seamless guttering to keep the rain out, and concrete pavers under all of it. What an improvement! It was a complicated project, and Rocky and Wendy took care of everything, from getting the building permits approved to the finishing paint touches. We highly recommend Eagle Outdoor Living for any outdoor construction job you can think of!"

"Very prompt and courteous. We decided not to do a garage now as the requirements of the county will not allow us to place it where we want to build. But if we were going to build I would call this business first."

"Sentri Homes provided the most professional flooring service I’ve ever had. The LVP installation turned out absolutely beautiful, and I was amazed at how quickly everything was completed without sacrificing quality. The crew was fast, accurate, and extremely detail-oriented from start to finish. Everything was installed cleanly, precisely, and with real craftsmanship. The entire process was smooth, efficient, and far beyond what I expected. I would absolutely recommend Sentri Homes to anyone needing flooring installed."

Aegis is a new business but the experience behind it is extensive , I (Tyler) have been in the construction industry for 12 years . I was an electrician for years before I decided to work in residential construction management. We are a new business so we are competitive with our pricing and we also have a name to make for ourselves in this industry so quality work is the name of our game. We specialize in remodeling, and insurance claims and restoration reconstruction. Give us the chance to take care of your home and we will deliver a quality job, great communication and great team that is easy to work with. Thank you and have a wonderful day!

Barndominium Builders questions, answered by experts

You can use a variety of wood to build a barn door, but the most common options include 1-by boards and 2-by boards for the backing and the decorative boards on the front of the door. Softwoods like pine will save you some money and should hold up well, while hardwoods like maple and oak will stand up to more wear and tear. You could also build the backer out of plywood to minimize the cuts you need to make. Whatever you decide on, make sure the width of the wood is compatible with the mounting brackets you buy.

The most common slope, or roof pitch, for a shed is 4:12 or four inches of height for every horizontal foot. For areas that experience heavy snow loads, a steeper roof of 6:12 or 9:12 is best.

Whether you buy a prefabricated shed or build one depends on why you need it and where you stay. For instance, if a simple garden shed is what you’re after, it’ll be less expensive to buy one already built. But if you want a shed with windows, plumbing, and electric work, a custom-built unit might be more suited to your needs.

Pole barns and carports are similar in that they rely on posts for support and are often not connected to a primary structure. The main difference between the two is that pole barns usually include walls that surround the entire perimeter of the structure, while carports generally remain open on three or four sides. It’s possible to insulate garage doors and even exterior walls on pole barns to create a comfortable workspace, and it’s a bit more secure for storage purposes. However, carports are more affordable.

While building a treehouse isn’t necessarily a death sentence, damaging the trunk is one of the ways to kill a tree. If you’re concerned about the tree, opt for a treehouse support system rather than attaching it directly to the trunk. This may involve using bolts and brackets to affix the structure to the tree's branches or establishing a standalone support system that remains unattached to the tree.
