The other was a fencing job that included a repair of one fence and replacement of another. I got a competitive bid and Jorge was very clear and dependable in managing the work. The owner of this company tore up part of my wood floors and never returned to finish the job. In addition, he stole from me and absconded with my 50% downpayment - nearly $8,000. I called him, texted and emailed him several times to resolve the matter. He disconnected his phone and never returned any of my messages. It turned out he stopped paying his Hiscox insurance a month after I signed my contract. I sued to retrieve the bond, and won by default -- because they were unable to locate him at any known address or phone number. I am still out $2,000 because of his gross negligence and dishonesty. This has been a terrible experience, and I am disgusted that a person like Jo Tran can continue doing business under a new company name with no consequences."
