"I was recently seeking a contractor on Angi for an urgent interior paint project at my home with quick turnaround time. This bedroom paint project included wall paint (2 colors; 1 accent wall), wall baseboard trim repair + paint, door trim repair + paint, door paint, and a plumbing panel replacement + paint. When I posted the request on Angi, Eugene from Honeycomb Construction called me within a minute after posting (Wow!). I explained my situation (baby on the way/arriving in weeks, nesting) and project details, and Eugene stopped by the same day to get a good look at room needing paint + repairs. Eugene was able to meet my familyâ s needs to get this room ready within one week. Although the estimated job timeline slid out by one day due to factors out of Eugeneâ s control (cold room on the basement floor, so paint takes longer to dry between coats), he did an excellent job with all the promised work: the paints of coat were even and full, the lines between the two colors of paint were crisp and clean, and the baseboard trim was looking sharp! Eugene does great work, heâ s really responsive and communicative throughout the process, heâ s really professional, and he is very kind. I will be hiring Eugene and Honeycomb Construction again for future home projects. Thank you!"

They were even able to start ahead of schedule. My bathroom fixtures were moved around to function better, give me more space, and the space was fully renovated. I am in love with the tile work that they did. In my kitchen they were able to change the layout, to give me the open concept I wanted. I was able to switch from electric to a gas range and the cabinetry that was installed is beautiful/high quality. The entire process was virtually stress free with the communications and updates I was given. All the timelines were met and exceeded. We had new quartz countertops and appliances installed in the kitchen. We had the cabinets in the bathroom and kitchen refinished. And we had the whole house painted on the inside. Mike Haim was our project manager and we appreciated his excellent service and vision. Oswaldo and Ray were our expert workmen and they did the whole project. It was great only having two people come in and out to do the work. The company has all their own workmen and so you donâ t have someone new for each job. "They did a great job. They pressure washed, caulked and painted with a set time and cost. I also had them re- side my stand alone garage, replace a barn door with an overhead door and a new entry door before painting and that was included in the bid. They are hard workers! I was able to add some interior work in the garage that they were able to do in a few days after the former job, with extra cost to me. So nice to have it all completed!"

At the end of the day the cost estimates of all four contractors exceeded our desired budget so we decided to not move forward with the project.  JD's bid was significantly higher than the other bids we received.  However, the detail with which JD prepared his bid gave me confidence that his bid was probably more accurate and the actual cost of the project was likely going to exceed the bids prepared by the other contractors.  While we didn't end up hiring JD I would strongly recommend him to anyone looking for a high quality general contractor with a commitment to customer service.
