PROs --Best price of the 3 quotes I obtained --Salesman (Pete) was terrific. Knowledgeable, professional, friendly, no-pressure, punctual, polite. Couldn't ask for more. --Installation trucks were immaculate. --Installation crew was professional, polite, punctual, friendly and very knowledgeable. Carmine Jr. showed me problems with our heating system that were building up and never identified by our prior heating/AC service company (we got 2x per year service) or by our oil company (1x per year service). He took the time to explain each issue, how it occurred and where it could progress. --The installation crew took pride in their work and stayed until the job was done (8:00pm one evening to get us up and running) I would definitely recommend Carmine's (and Pete) and will almost certainly be switching my service to them. After paying a large deposit, it took many calls all through summer to get the work done. When he and his friends showed up, they removed the old roof and only applied half of the new roof stating he had to order more roofing. After numerous phone calls to have him finish, the weather turned bad, winter set in and I had to wait until spring. I started calling again and again with promises he'd finish the project. I was at the point where I was going to get a lawyer when someone who use to work for Mr. Brown agreed to finish the roof. However, I had to go pay for roofing ordered last year at a local hardware store that Mr. Brown never paid for. The store told me that Mr. Brown was no longer given credit due to lack of payment for supplies. I paid for the roofing and the new people arrived to put the roof on while I was sleeping (I work nights). When I got up, they had put the new roof on, but over the old roof. When questioned about this the second pair of workers stated that Mr. Brown had told them to put the new roofing over the old roofing. I again complained. The second set of workers came back the next day, removed all the roofing, and applied some of the new roofing. They \"ran out\" of metal roofing sheets, so they \"patched\" the open areas with old roofing metal. You can imagine what that looked like. This time I ordered and paid for more metal roofing sheets. Again, promising to return to finish, they never did saying Mr. Brown never paid them. Winter came again, except now the roof was not only leaking, but the \"patches\" and ridge cap were not secured. The roof banged and flapped until finally the ridge cap blew off exposing an open area underneath. I managed at this time to find a responsible contractor who graciously came over and secured the patch and put the ridge cap back on. The second set of worker stated that Mr. Brown has a \"habit\" of taking on projects, collecting deposits, starting the project and not finishing them. The second worker stated that he had worked previously for Mr. Brown, and that was the reason he stopped working for him. This is only hearsay as it was what the second worker told me and I can't verify that this is true. However, what I can say is that the only way I could get Mr. Brown to work on my roof that was almost paid for was by threatening to call a lawyer. All I can say is buyer beware. After saving for two more years, last year I hired a responsible contractor who not only removed the roof put on by Mr. Brown, but replaced it the \"right way\". Had I met this contractor prior to Mr. Brown, it would not have cost me double the amount I wound up paying for my roof. Why I didn't secure a lawyer and try to recoup my loses....to do that it would have cost me more than it did to finally get the roof repaired and being older and single, I didn't have money to do that."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/vt/orleans/northern-home-repair-reviews-2356652.htm"},"position":6}]}

The painting went very well. John Alden did such a nice job on a neighbor's house that I hired him to repaint our Cape Cod style house. The pressure washing and application of stain (Benjamin Moore) were completed in good time, with high quality finish on siding and trim. They took good care...
Carmine's just finished a job at our home replacing two air conditioning systems (outside compressors as well as air handlers). Here were the pros and cons: PROs --Best price of the 3 quotes I obtained --Salesman (Pete) was terrific. Knowledgeable, professional, friendly, no-pressure,...

"This is a very professional and high quality company. They completed the countertops in two days. The epoxy had a flaw from the manufacturer and they come back immediately and re surfaced it. The counters look like glass. The price was reasonable. We are very happy with the result. The only negative is they could have done a better job cleaning up."

Concrete repair costs range anywhere from about $0.10 to $0.15 per linear foot to fill minor cracks, to about $6 to $14 per square foot to replace damaged concrete slabs. Repair costs vary widely depending on the size and type of work needed. For example, replacing 100 square feet of driveway will cost between $600 to $1,400, on average.
The average cost of stamped concrete is around $12 per square foot, but you might pay anywhere from $8 to $28 per square foot. The average 12-foot by 12-foot patio costs $1,730 on average. Your exact pricing will depend on the patio’s square footage, the condition of the area where you want to pour the concrete, the desired stamp pattern, concrete coloring, concrete grade, and local labor prices. Don’t forget to budget for extra costs like land preparation and additional concrete fortifications if necessary.
Depending on the cost to repair your driveway, it may be more cost effective to tear out and replace it with a new concrete driveway. The cost to repave a driveway ranges between $1,400 and $12,100, including removal of the old concrete. Contact a reputable concrete contractor for advice and an estimate. They may have a good reason for going with repairs or replacement after assessing your driveway. You may also have the option to resurface your driveway or pave over it without taking out the existing one.
It’s possible to create stamped concrete yourself, but we don’t recommend it and it’s often not cost-effective. It’s easy to mess up the pattern of a stamped concrete patio or walkway, leaving you with an unsightly home exterior rather than the elegant solution you wanted. Any mistakes made during the ground leveling and concrete pouring process will also increase the risk of cracks forming on your concrete. Additionally, buying enough stamps to get the pattern in before your concrete cures can cost as much as hiring a professional to do the work for you.
Concrete contractors typically charge anywhere from $6 to $14 per square foot. Cost factors include job size, site prep, base material, accessibility, your location, concrete finish, and concrete thickness. Removal of existing concrete, asphalt, deck, pavers, and grass will cost anywhere from $1 to $6 per square foot. Homeowners can often save money by removing and disposing of existing pavers, decks, and grass. Breaking up and hauling away concrete and asphalt is difficult and time-consuming without the proper equipment and may be worth having the pros do that work.
