Complete runaround and waste of time! Came out for minor repair estimate on slate roof. Days later no response. We call them and they tell us they don’t really do slate repair… and the boss isn’t returning (estimator’s) calls… and not prepared or otherwise willing to give a quote anyway, but… highly recommend a new roof but can’t give an estimate on that either, however… will refer you to another roofing contractor, and… You guys are kinda far away anyway ( says they serve Washington Cnty.) What in the actual fk!?

I can't say enough good things about this company. David Morse came by the same day I requested the estimate. He took photos and gave a detailed analysis and estimate. He informed me that our roof has at least 2-5 years left, but that the chimney was in dire need of repair or replacement. I had suspected as much, but never got in the roof to check. He gave me a referral to a masonry company they work closely with and recommended that take priority. The thorough analysis and honesty instantly won me over. I know who I'm calling first in a few years when my roof is ready to be replaced.

I tried writing a review previously for Pinnacle which they claimed was inaccurate so I decided to give them another try. So, after two separate attempts to get an estimate I will just say, I still don't have one. My initial outreach was many, many months ago when I left a voicemail or two and never got a return call. That was the gist of the debated first review, so I decided to give them another try and actually got someone on the phone. The woman I spoke with set me up with a visit the following week and the salesperson showed up on-time and was polite. He promised me an estimate, but said it would take several days to a few weeks as they were very busy. When I received an email, it basically said we are too busy to accommodate your job until next year (pretty typical of the other companies I got estimates from), but rather than sending an estimate with the caveat that the work wouldn't take place until the spring or summer, they declined to offer one. When I pointed out that many roofing companies are fortunate enough to have steady work and are scheduling out to the following year and were still able to provide an estimate, he responded that his team "has a production calendar full through next summer. Unfortunately we will not be able to provide a quote at this time." I almost pointed out that all of those OTHER jobs required them to provide an estimate in order to get signed contracts back to secure the work and get on the schedule, but at that point I had lost any desire to work with this company. So, I stick with my initial review that was disputed by the company: I found it difficult to get anyone to talk to me, and when they did they failed to provide an estimate. I am glad they are so busy they don't need my roofing job, but it doesn't seem like the best way to secure future success.

It went great! They arrived on time, finished by noon, and left my property as clean as they found it.

From the initial project review by Bob, Pinnacle was thoroughly professional in its approach. Bob inspected the entire roof, noted where there were issues, and promised to deliver an estimate in the next few days. The estimate came through as promised, with a high level of detail, including how they would address the winter leakage issues I was experiencing, schematics of roof and what would be done where, how the surrounding area would be protected, and a detailed cost breakdown, with options. Though the roof is fairly large, with 3 skylights to be replaced and a number of peaks and valleys, Pinnacle estimated it would take two days. As it turned out, the materials were delivered on day one, but the forecast called for heavy rains, so work couldn't start. When they came back, John, the foreman arrived early in the morning and let me know they were sending a large crew and would work a longer day to try to finish everything that day. Amazingly enough, they did just that. John and his team stripped the roof, installed the skylights, and had the new roof on and the entire area immaculately clean before they left. John kept me informed of their progress and made sure I didn't have any concerns during the day and before they left. That evening, Bob made a follow-up call to ask how things had gone. The level of professionalism and skill of the entire team, from Bob to John to the team working on the job was absolutely top notch.

I don't often write reviews, but, I figured this was well worth it. After the 70 MPH gusts a few weeks back, I had lost some shingles. I called five different roofing companies, and no one but David from Pinnacle got back to me. David came out when he said he would, and was the only roofer that came and went up on the roof. He took a ton of pictures, uploaded them, and sent me a detailed estimate and explained every picture and the estimate to me so I could fully understand what was happening. My roof was older, and I knew it needed to be replaced, David confirmed that. He answered every single question professionally, and was lightning fast on his responses. He even helped compare some of my other quotes (I got 4 in total) and just really seemed to want what was best for my home. He didn't talk down about any other company. I will say this, for the 4 quotes I got, Pinnacle was not the most expensive. It was the second cheapest, and they were barely more than what the lowest quote was. Combine that with the incredible customer service, it made spending the small extra seem well worth it. The crew came out when they said they would. They were done within the day, and the entire job was cleaned up and finished by 5:30. The foreman, John, was great to talk to. He explained everything in detail that had to be done, what the scope was once they got the shingles off, and he didn't surprise me with anything out of the ordinary or extra charges. The clean up was fast, and well done, and on top of that, while they were up on the roof they fixed a few pieces of siding that had been knocked loose by the wind. I really can't complain about anything. I'm definitely a pain homeowner, and am very VERY particular. Pinnacle made me feel at ease, and they did a nice job. I will certainly recommend them to everyone I know without question. I see now why they are one of the biggest roofers around the area and why I see their signage on most of the new commercial properties popping up all over Schenectady county.

Great! They came one day and did the inside work for the skylights - it was raining that day - and did all the rest of the work the next day. Very impressive. They cleaned the site very well at the end. Very respectful, courteous, professional, and the quality of the work was excellent.

I contacted 5+ roofers for estimates. I had selected them from Angie’s List, asked for referrals from FB and friends, and also checked the BBB. Pinnacle came up as very positive on all fronts. Bob Thomas was the first person to call me back, the first person to come out for an estimate, and believe it or not the only representative to climb into our attic space and examine the entire underside of the roof from one end of the house the other, checking for mold and other potential problems (none found). As others did, he climbed all over the outside of the roof but was the only roofer to take photographs to show us the problem areas. His estimate was on the high end but he honored an Angie’s List coupon bringing the price to within $200 of the next closest bid. The information he gave us was extensive and thorough so we could understand the whole process. After accepting the bid from Pinnacle & sending the down payment in it wasn’t long before I got the call they could come the next day. The crew finished the job in just one day. No mess was left, landscaping was totally protected, and we found very little in the way of debris. Bob checked back with us to make sure we were satisfied. There were a few things not quite right (ex cracked vinyl siding J tracks, black marks on walkway) but Bob made sure these were all fixed before we had to pay the balance. Our roof looks awesome, ready for winter. Bob and the company were very responsive to our calls, emails & text messages. Very professional and easy to work with. Strongly recommend.

Pinnacle did a great job on our roof. We had both a pitched roof and a flat rubber roof on a dormer done. The foreman and crew showed up early (about 7am) and worked all day until the job was complete (about 6pm). Plus, the work was done on a September day where it was very humid and the temperatures reached upwards of 90 degrees. Not the best of days to do roof work! Before the job began, the foreman asked me if he could pull on of their trucks onto our lawn to get closer to the house with his materials and I agreed. After the job was complete, he came out to let me know that where I told him to go the grass was soft and because of this the truck tires had made indentations in the grass. He offered to seed the affected areas of grass which I thought was a nice gesture since I told him it was ok to pull up there. Overall, the setup, the work and the cleanup was excellent. I am thankful that we have a new roof on our old house along with a new ridge vent and a snow and ice shield. I am very happy to say that our new roof passed its first winter with flying colors. We have a 1500 square foot garage that needs a new roof soon and I would definitely hire Pinnacle again to do the work.

It went very well. Chris, Bob, Lamont, Seth and Lloyd were all very helpful and professional throughout the job. They were all very knowledgeable and I would recommend them.

New roof shingles, ridge vent and power fan were installed in one day, as estimated. The project manager monitored the work continually. The roofing crew did an excellent job overall. I was pleased that netting and tarps were used to catch the old shingle debris; in addition to magnetically scanning the grounds for nails. Grounds were very clean when the crew left. A different crew performed the removal of soffit and roof edge venting, which indicated to me that this company leverages the skills of its members to perform specific tasks. This activity was performed on another day (1/2 day). Again, that crew did an excellent job of reinstalling the soffit and making sure all gaps were covered. Also, appreciated suggestion of company salesman regarding color of shingles, which would complement the house. He provided recent installations, in my area, so I could see three different color shingles on actual houses. I went with his suggestion, and am very pleased with the outcome.

I've never needed to replace a roof before but I know it's not cheap and have heard some horror stories so the main thing I wanted was to find someone who had a great reputation on here and other websites as well. Plus reading the comments, I wanted someone who had properly taken care of their customers if something came up that needed attention. I didn't know anything about Pinnacle roofing before I started my search but I am glad I found them. From day one with me contacting their office until they day they finished, everything went according to plan. They were at my house for two days but if there wasn't a dumpster in my driveway, I never would have known they finished one day. That's how neat and clean they were. Everything turned out great and they even ended up being the best price of the companies I was considering. They were very professional and very competent.

I am very conflicted about writing this, because in my heart of hearts I do not think that anyone's intentions were bad. Four months ago a representative from Pinnacle Roofing came out and looked at the situation and quickly told me what needed to be done. Because it was, perhaps, a small job, he told me that he would probably send out a couple of workers on a Saturday to do the work. In addition, the office manager emailed an estimate, which I thought was very reasonable. I quickly approved the work, but a couple of months passed without the work being performed. I emailed the company again, saying that I still wanted the work done. Two more months passed with no response. I can see from the reviews here that Pinnacle Roofing is a respected company, and I suspect that they just didn't want to be bothered with such a small job. I can respect that, but what I cannot respect is their unwillingness to be straight with me about this. A simple email could have prevented me from sitting down and writing this.

Basic roofing was good, price was reasonable, and work was done fairly soon after we signed. Clean-up could have been better. We found quite a few nails and roofing felt shreds afterward. Worst thing was tar-stained footprints all over our new sidewalk that we had to scrub off. Roof-wall junctions were a little rough. They were able to communicate even though the workers spoke little English and the foreman spoke little Spanish, but our project was fairly simple and this may be a problem on more complicated jobs. Overall they did a good job on the basics, but not enough of the little things that distinguish excellent from merely good.

The job went very well. They arrived on time and building supplies came shortly after. Everything was covered and protected around the perimeter of house. It was explained to me everything they were doing and why. By late afternoon the job was finished and they did a great job of cleaning up. I was very pleased.

They did a very nice job. Bob Thomas was very responsive to any questions and concerns. Crew worked hard , and kept everything neat and clean. Could not have asked for a better experience.

The company is great! My old roof had been done by Apple and my experience there was a very good one 27 years ago so I called them for an estimate. But Apple was closing its business so I looked for other bidders. From Pinnacle's salesman, Bob Thomas, to each roofer, I have nothing but good things to say. Super all the way, very professional, neat, quick. Even their price was good. These are excellent reasons why they are highly rated on Angie's List! I'd recommend them!

Bob and his staff were excellent! He was very quick to provide us an estimate which was very competitive. He patched our roof as well prior to the replacement as shingles had blown off during a wind storm. His crew was punctual and professional. They had the roof done in one day and cleaned up after and everything was spotless. I highly recommend Pinnacle!

Bob Thomas told me what I could expect from the time his crew arrived until they were completely finished. They exceeded my expectations. The four men performing the work led by their foreman, Lamont, never stopped working except for a lunch break. Although only approx 11 square of shingles and 2 skylight replacements, they were done and completely cleaned up in under 7 hours. Not a nail or piece of paper to be found in the shrubs, driveway or lawn. Roof looks great and I would hire them again for any future roofing projects.
