"This was a big job, removed cast iron tub and installed handicap walk in shower. Trevor, Jesse and Lucas went above and beyond making sure the job was done right. "Jason and Tyler recently replaced the roof on my house and did an incredible job. Their attention to detail is amazing, all shingles are perfectly straight, drip edge is cut correctly and fits nicely, and they kept my yard neat and clean picking up all scraps and blowing/raking out all around the house. I would have no hesitation hiring them again for another project, they are very easy to deal with."

When it comes to cleaning bathrooms, bleach usually comes to mind. But like ammonia, bleach can damage acrylic tubs. In fact, many tub manufacturers warn against using bleach on acrylic bathtubs, and doing so could void the warranty on your tub. Again, a gentler cleaner specifically made for acrylic tubs, or one of the homemade methods listed above, is your better bet here.

If your Corian® countertop begins to appear dull or dirty, or you notice scratches on the surface, you can return it to its original finish while maintaining its look. To do this, repair any scratches with a repair compound and sand the surface after it dries. 

Then, use an orbital sander with either a 100-, 30-, or 15-micron disc and finish with a hand pad (like Scotch-Brite™ 7447 or 7448) or lamb’s wool bonnet and automotive cutting compound for a matte, semi-gloss, or gloss-finish, respectively.

Bathtub refinishing is the overall process of repairing and resurfacing a bathtub, while reglazing is a key step within that process. The complete refinishing process includes cleaning the tub, protecting surrounding areas, removing the existing glaze, sanding the surface, applying the new glaze coating, caulking the tub, and replacing fixtures. A professional refinishing job can extend a bathtub's life by 10 to 15 years, whereas a DIY job typically lasts three to four years.

There are a few signs, both obvious and not so obvious, that it's time to refinish your bathtub. While some of these signs aren't an urgent problem, others could lead to significant damage if left untreated. Signs you should look out for include:

  • Rust stains, which signal the tub's enamel or surface sealer is deteriorating 

  • Small chips, which can grow into larger chunks and can lead to rusting

  • Discoloration, which doesn't lead to a more significant problem but can be unsightly 

  • Dirty surfaces, which means that the tub glaze is breaking down and allowing dirt to seep below the coating

There are a few ways to check whether your tub is fiberglass or acrylic. If your tub is a color other than white, then your tub is likely acrylic (as fiberglass tubs are usually white). Check to see if there is discoloration on the bottom of the tub, because if it’s yellowed, then you can be fairly sure it’s fiberglass.

Also, fiberglass tubs have thinner edges and are cool to the touch. Acrylic, on the other hand, is either room temperature or warm to the touch.
