"Quick reply, fast estimate, soon scheduled, and done the job. Maybe too fast: the edges of the new pavement were uneven and jagged, but, on my request, they came back and fixed them. But also, with every rain, deep puddles form a few feet in front of the garage. I regret not having explicitly specified before the job that I expect the water to run off--but should I have to."

"Mac did an outstanding job replacing our poured concrete sidewalk. He was able to do the work quickly, on budget and the result was outstanding! Mac was great to work with...no problems communicating with him. We wanted to make sure our project was done with minimal impact to our yard and Mac did a great job in that regard. He also cleaned up after the work was done. I would recommend Sullivan Stone (Mac is the owner) without hesitation! Highways and heavy-traffic roads need something tough, like polymer-modified asphalt (PMA) or Stone Matrix Asphalt (SMA). Local roads and parking lots rely on the Performance Graded (PG) system, chosen based on climate. A PG 64-28 mix, for example, handles a broad temperature range while simpler, more cost-effective mixes are typically enough for residential driveways. The best grade of asphalt depends on traffic, weather, and your budget, which is why a professional’s input is always a smart move before making a decision.

Like brick, paver, and cobblestone driveways, resin driveways can have intricate patterns using different colors. Aggregates can be laid to create curves, shapes, letters, or numbers. When using custom colors or patterns, homeowners can expect to add an extra $2 to $6 per square foot to achieve their desired look.

In most cases, you don’t need a permit to repave your driveway, although some exceptions exist. If you’re widening your driveway and plan on widening the apron as well, you’ll usually need a permit from the Department of Transportation in your area.
