email: Request to Cornerstone Hardscapes, "Anyway you could throw in a some bark dust once your done? That would be great if you could. We have been waiting since June and now another three weeks." email: Answer from Cornerstone Hardscapes "Yes?we would be happy to" No bark dust was ever put in. The company does not want to hear about complaints. After a summer of being very patient, I wanted to express my displeasure with the communication and long delays in getting the work done. When I called to talk about some of my complaints the secretary listened for a bit and then hung up on me. I went ahead and sent in my final check and will not use this company again.

Both the manager and sales rep promised to do anything within their power to resolve the situation, and they were true to their word. The correct outlet was installed within one week at no charge, and it works properly.
Thank you, Murphy Family Electric, for taking the time to rectify the situation.
This was a disaster from start to finish. The voucher for service was bought, and message sent to the company promptly. However, instead of Murphy following up with me immediately, I finally had to contact them to schedule service and explain what I wanted. After discussing the details on the phone, I sent the following confirmation by e-mail (note *I* had to send it, not the other way around): "Thanks for calling me back yesterday and scheduling my appointment on Monday at 7 a.m. for installation of one 120v, 16A (this is a 20amp) and one 240v 30A Twist-Lock outlet on the outside of my house." When the technician arrived on Monday, he did not know what to do and had to ask my partner for the details, who in turn had to call me to reiterate what exactly was to be done. The technician did not have the proper outlets in his truck so had to leave to buy them. On returning, he installed the 120v outlet correctly, but stated he couldn't find the proper 240v outlet, so would have to return the next day to install. Keep in mind, we are working people who are not home during the day, so having the tech come out again would mean another day of work lost. Fortunately, he did manage to drill the correct holes so that he would not have to gain access to the inside of the house on the second day. I came home that day to find the 240v outlet installed incorrectly, with only one receptacle and a gaping hole and exposed wires left open to the elements where the other receptacle was supposed to be. I immediately sent an e-mail and pictures of the shoddy work to the company, who responded with more questions about the type of outlet required. I sent them the direct link to the EVSE site with pictures of the product that would be using the outlet. "I spoke directly with Tesla today. You will need a straight prong receptacle, versus the twist lock. When will the car or the cord for the car be delivered? Thank you." "Thanks for the follow up. We in fact have a Nissan Leaf, and the upgraded EVSE requires a twist lock outlet (see http://evseupgrade.com/?main_page=product_info&cPath=1&products_id=2). I'm more concerned with the open hole in the outlet than with the type." The third visit from the tech was scheduled for the next day, and he came and installed the outlet. When the EVSE arrived the outlet was the wrong type (L14 30P instead of L5 30P). Instead of risking another botched job and more delay and cost, I purchased an adapter for $50. And finally, to add insult to injury, the company charged me the full price of the work instead of honoring the voucher from Angie's List, necessitating a check for the difference to be sent in the mail. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY for critical electrical needs. They do not, apparently, know what they are doing."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/va/alexandria/murphy-family-electric-reviews-2089667.htm"},"position":7},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"Carmine's Plumbing, Heating & AIr Conditioning","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"VT","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Paul M."},"reviewBody":"Carmine's just finished a job at our home replacing two air conditioning systems (outside compressors as well as air handlers). RUN the other way! Mitch was originally hired for various home repairs and quoted me $1625. Every time he came it turned into something different and a bigger job that needed more money up front. When he put in an outside spigot, he said I needed a new hot water heater and I should pay up...

The painting went very well. John Alden did such a nice job on a neighbor's house that I hired him to repaint our Cape Cod style house. The pressure washing and application of stain (Benjamin Moore) were completed in good time, with high quality finish on siding and trim. They took good care...
The quality of work done by this company is very good, and we have absolutely no problem with this. The problems that we had with this company were twofold. First, they overbook in the summer and could not perform the job for almost two months. Please be careful when booking and making a down...

FAQs for concrete finishing projects in Pownal, VT
Concrete repair costs range anywhere from about $0.10 to $0.15 per linear foot to fill minor cracks, to about $6 to $14 per square foot to replace damaged concrete slabs. Repair costs vary widely depending on the size and type of work needed. For example, replacing 100 square feet of driveway will cost between $600 to $1,400, on average.
The average cost of stamped concrete is around $12 per square foot, but you might pay anywhere from $8 to $28 per square foot. The average 12-foot by 12-foot patio costs $1,730 on average. Your exact pricing will depend on the patio’s square footage, the condition of the area where you want to pour the concrete, the desired stamp pattern, concrete coloring, concrete grade, and local labor prices. Don’t forget to budget for extra costs like land preparation and additional concrete fortifications if necessary.
Depending on the cost to repair your driveway, it may be more cost effective to tear out and replace it with a new concrete driveway. The cost to repave a driveway ranges between $1,400 and $12,100, including removal of the old concrete. Contact a reputable concrete contractor for advice and an estimate. They may have a good reason for going with repairs or replacement after assessing your driveway. You may also have the option to resurface your driveway or pave over it without taking out the existing one.
It’s possible to create stamped concrete yourself, but we don’t recommend it and it’s often not cost-effective. It’s easy to mess up the pattern of a stamped concrete patio or walkway, leaving you with an unsightly home exterior rather than the elegant solution you wanted. Any mistakes made during the ground leveling and concrete pouring process will also increase the risk of cracks forming on your concrete. Additionally, buying enough stamps to get the pattern in before your concrete cures can cost as much as hiring a professional to do the work for you.
Concrete contractors typically charge anywhere from $6 to $14 per square foot. Cost factors include job size, site prep, base material, accessibility, your location, concrete finish, and concrete thickness. Removal of existing concrete, asphalt, deck, pavers, and grass will cost anywhere from $1 to $6 per square foot. Homeowners can often save money by removing and disposing of existing pavers, decks, and grass. Breaking up and hauling away concrete and asphalt is difficult and time-consuming without the proper equipment and may be worth having the pros do that work.
