"They were prompt and professional from start to finish. Mike offered us suggestions that made a lot more sense then the prior two electricians that had worked on the same problem. Because of Mike we were able to eliminate the power pole in the middle of our back yard. It looks to wide open now. We can't thank him enough for everything he did for us."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

Typically, when a 3-way switch only works when one switch is on, this is one of the most telltale indicators that the switch has gone bad (although this could also be the result of faulty or loose wiring). To diagnose the issue, toggle each switch until the light comes on. Once it’s on, toggle each switch separately again; the switch that doesn’t turn the light off is the bad switch.

Regular inspections, avoiding circuit overloads, and updating wiring when needed help maintain efficiency.

A GFCI outlet can be 15A or 20A. The average American home power outlet is 15A.

Replacing your electrical meter box is critical because it helps prevent damage to your home’s electrical system or possible safety hazards. Plus, you won’t have to deal with frequent power tripping, flickering lights, or the scorched scents that an old or damaged meter box may cause.

Yes, most electric heated bathroom floor systems require a dedicated GFCI-protected circuit to ensure safety and proper function. An electrician may need to upgrade your panel or run new wiring, which can increase installation costs. Always check local building codes and manufacturer recommendations before installation to ensure a safe and compliant setup.
