"Justin did a great job on my floor! He removed some old carpet and replaced them with hardwood flooring. He showed up on time, finished on schedule, and worked extremely hard. His attention to detail was excellent. The boards are laid out well and all the transitions are flawless."

Customers say: Quality work

"Gene recently refinished floors in six rooms of our older home. We could not be happier with the outcome of his meticulous workmanship. He transformed our worn damaged floors into pristine condition. As a person, Gene is a jewel - the embodiment of a craftsman whose work is not a job but a joy and a gift that he shares with his clients. We unequivocally recommend Turgeonâ s Hardwood Flooring."

Small jobs welcome

"Mac did an outstanding job replacing our poured concrete sidewalk. He was able to do the work quickly, on budget and the result was outstanding! Mac was great to work with...no problems communicating with him. We wanted to make sure our project was done with minimal impact to our yard and Mac did a great job in that regard. He also cleaned up after the work was done. I would recommend Sullivan Stone (Mac is the owner) without hesitation! We're planning another project for next year and I will definitely reach out to Sullivan Stone to assist us with that as well!"

"I was very impressed with Sentri Homes - their customer service was excellent. They sent a subcontractor to install some vinyl laminate in my bathroom and he ended up getting glue all over the carpet in our bedroom. The sub ended up ghosting both me and Sentri, leaving me stuck with a ruined carpet. Sentri stuck with me for over a month to get the carpet replaced with the identical original and to get the vinyl job 100% completed. The carpet was a Home Depot exclusive and Sentri handled everything with them. I will be using Sentri for a much bigger renovation I have coming up soon, because I know that they will make sure everything gets done right no matter what problems come up. The vinyl looks great too."

Flooring Installation questions, answered by experts

Flooring projects in Burlington must address both durability and design. Homeowners often select water-resistant flooring materials for mudrooms and basements to handle snow and moisture, while choosing hardwood or tile with natural finishes for living spaces to complement historic layouts. Flooring contractors recommend patterns or plank widths that enhance room proportions, ensuring the new flooring installation meets both the home’s functional needs and desired visual appeal.

Helpful?

As Burlington homes age, flooring projects often shift from initial installations to restoration and upgrades. Homeowners may refinish original hardwood, replace worn carpet with luxury vinyl for added moisture resistance, or reinforce subfloors to address settling. In older homes, flooring contractors frequently manage lead paint or asbestos concerns, and adapt flooring materials to accommodate updated insulation or radiant heating systems, ensuring long-term performance and safety.

Helpful?

The condition of your Burlington property directly impacts flooring choices and project planning. Uneven subfloors may require leveling, while older stone foundations or high humidity can influence the selection of moisture-resistant flooring materials. Flooring contractors assess insulation, heating systems, and any structural repairs needed. These factors, along with the short construction season, help determine the best flooring installation approach for lasting results in your home.

Helpful?

Before contacting a flooring contractor in Burlington, document room dimensions, subfloor type, and any history of moisture issues. Take photos of current flooring and note the age of the home, recent renovations, and whether you have pets or allergies. Include details about insulation, heating systems, and if your property is in a historic district. This thorough preparation helps flooring professionals recommend the most suitable flooring materials and installation methods.

Helpful?

To assess if your Burlington home is ready for new flooring, look for uneven surfaces, persistent squeaks, visible water stains, or cracked tiles. Check for proper insulation and ventilation, especially in basements. If you notice drafts, allergies from old carpet, or fading finishes, it may be time to consult a flooring contractor. Stable foundations and dry subfloors also indicate your home is suitable for flooring installation.
