Our carpentry work spans interior and exterior projects, with a focus on sustainable materials wherever we can.\n\nWe do both structural builds and interior finish work — from custom workshops and barns built from the ground up, to interior carpentry including siding, decking, and flooring installation and repair. "Excellent work. We purchased natural cherry cabinets in shaker style, with the panels made of solid wood rather than veneer. That is more difficult work, as each panel has to be constructed from several planks. Moreover, the clear finish would leave any flaws more visible. Simply put, the doors are beautiful--flawless in both construction and finish. They are similar in quality to custom cherry furniture we own."

Pre Made Cabinets FAQs, answered by experts

The 1/3 rule is a design guideline used by interior designers and cabinet installers to select appropriately sized pulls for cabinets and drawers. The rule suggests that for a balanced and cohesive look, a cabinet pull should be approximately one-third the height of the cabinet door or one-third the width of the drawer face. This guideline helps create a symmetrical appearance because the human eye tends to follow the length of the pull across the cabinet face.

While the 1/3 rule is a helpful starting point, it is not the only option. If a measurement falls between available pull sizes, it's generally best to size up. For an ultra-contemporary aesthetic, you can also opt for full-width pulls that span the entire drawer.

Some municipalities require permits for wall-mounted furniture installations, particularly when structural modifications are necessary. Always make sure to check local building codes before starting your Murphy bed installation project. Your Murphy bed installer will be familiar with local codes and handle the permitting process, ensuring your project complies with all relevant regulations.

If you’re brave enough to tackle building your own cabinet bases, you’re brave enough to install them yourself. You’ll need a stud finder to get you started, but the installation will be a breeze if you’ve already done all the hard work to build the cabinet bases yourself. If you’re hanging upper cabinets, you’ll need a helper, though, to balance the weight of the cabinets and make the process easier.

If you have a drawer larger than 30 inches, you should consider adding two pulls, but, again, this decision is up to personal preference. Any pro you work with on cabinet installation can help you determine how many pulls you need and where you should place them.

The cost of installing kitchen cabinets is $5,950 for the average project. While most homeowners spend between $2,010 and $10,465 on new kitchen cabinets, you could spend up to $28,000 or more on spacious custom cabinets.

The materials and the size of your cabinets make up a significant portion of your final cost. For example, wood veneer cabinets are typically the most budget-friendly option, ranging from $2,000 to $15,000 on average. On the other hand, stainless steel cabinets are a luxury item and generally cost between $25,000 and $38,000.
