They arrived on time with a crane, bucket truck, and chipper, which made the job very efficient. They worked constantly for five hours to remove the trees, chip them, and deposit the chips where requested. They cleared away excess debris before leaving so we had almost no additional clean-up to do. Every member of the crew was friendly and helpful. We have had Barrett's here several times, and each time I am impressed by their efficiency, quality, and professionalism.

Arrived exactly on time once scheduled...performed service as required

This is a great company to do business with if you have trees that need to be cut down and removed.  Cost was  a fair price that was in line with another tree service.   I would highly recommend Barrett Tree Service.  Alden came out, looked at the project, gave me a price then and there, gave me a date,took care of all the scheduling including a police detail.  Very efficient!

Very responsible and did a great job

The stump grinder arrived slightly late at 8:30 AM due to some roadwork, but got right to work. He worked non-stop for most of the morning, took a very brief lunch break on-site, then started again. We wanted to get a full day's work since we were paying for travel time, so when it appeared he might be done early, with his OK we cleared a few more trees and he continued to work until 3:00 PM. At that point, the job was done. He was friendly, cooperative, and professional. The bill we received was for exactly the hours he worked plus travel time. The hourly rate was very reasonable.

Barrett's exceeded our expectations in terms of flexibility and quality of work. They worked with us throughout the day, adjusting the project along the way and staying much longer than they were planning in an effort to meet our needs while all their equipment was on site. We could not have been more pleased with their work.

The owner quoted a price based on his estimate of the amount of time it would take and an hourly rate. He thought it could be done in a single long day with a four man crew. The crew and owner arrived when promised, but the owner said that he decided the job could be done faster and cheaper if the entire crew focused on tree removal for a day and came back later for stumps. That was disappointing, mostly because we wanted the job done, and it also meant the estimate was probably too low. It was still probably the right call. The crew worked hard for 10 hours removing the trees, chipping the brush, and cutting the logs. They were exceptionally neat and professional. They chipped all the branches, raked the area, and piled the cut logs around each stump. As requested, they left us three piles of wood chips. The owner knew we were disappointed that the job could not  be finished the same day, so he arranged for the stump grinding to be done the next day even though it was a Saturday on a holiday week-end. The second workman arrived promptly the next day and ground nearly every stump in a about 6 hours. Wet conditions prevented him from getting to a few stumps without getting stuck. He offered to put down logs or something else to access the additional stumps, but we decided to wait until conditions were better. Although the job took longer and cost a bit more than anticipated, the crews worked hard both days, so they probably got the job done as fast as it could possibly be done. The hourly rate for stump grinding was lower than for the four man crew, so even though the entire job took more than 50% longer than quoted, the final cost was about 25% higher and probably could not have been done any faster without sacrificing something.  The quality of the work was excellent. The crews were friendly and professional. They made every effort to be certain that the job was being done to our satisfaction. We could never have done this ourselves and gotten the area cleaned-up and usable as quickly and they did. The price was higher than expected but still reasonable for the amount of work done and the quality of the work.

I've used them before.  They seem to be professional in doing a nice job.  They were quick and reasonably price.

BJ from Barrett's Tree service came out to assess a rotted tree in our back yard that was leaning over our shed. He showed us three other trees that were rotted and needed to be removed. He priced out the work per tree in case we only chose to remove only part of the tree or only one or two of them. He was very fair about his work schedule and came out two weeks to the day from the first appraisal as he promised. The work only took 2hrs and his workmen came prepared with a crane, a cherry picker and track to put down in the yard so the big trucks would not kill the grass. They removed the logs left over teh next day and everyone we spoke to was very professional. All in all a great company that I would highly recommend to friends.

They arrived on time. They cut down the tree and cleaned up the debris. They mulched all the trees and placed the mulch pile where I picked.

I called up Barrett's and had an estimate the next day, by the end of the week the cedar trees I wanted removed were gone, stumps ground down, and area cleaned up. I was impressed with Barrett's responsiveness and professionalism and great quality job. I dealt mostly with Marty and he was great. I had them come back for another job a week later I was so pleased with their work.

Everyone was wonderful. They were timely, professional, and cleaned up well as promised. I won't hesitate to use them again.

They did an excellent job, showed up on time and cleaned up well after themselves. I had gotten cost estimates from 3 companies and their estimate was about 1/3 cheaper than the others. I would definitely hire them again.

Work went great. The crew quickly set up their equipment and worked efficiently to remove the tree. They chipped up the tree and branches and hauled it all away. They even raked and cleaned up the yard after work was complete. Great Job!

They've been in business for quite some time, and it showed.  They arrived on time, took down the trees without any problems, and did a great job of cleaning up after themselves.

Quickly and neatly -- as though the tree had never been there

They were very professional, from the person coming to give us an estimate (the cost was almost exactly as estimated) to their removal of the trees and branches. They had a problem with their equipment midway through the removal process that required a few days to repair, but returned as soon as possible to complete the job.

There was very little room in which to work. Barretts brought in one very tall crane with which to lift out the branches as they were cut, and a second bucket with sophisticated controls that held the logger with the chain saw.  (The logger controlled this bucket).  I watched the entire process.  The logger would select a large branch, or several branches, to be taken out, and would hitch them to the line connected to the tall crane.  Then he would cut the secured branches off, and the crane would life them up and over to the road, where the rest of the crew waited with a super-size shredder.  They repeated this process over and over.  At the end of an hour and a half, the job was complete:  the tree trunks had been cut to ground level (as agreed beforehand), any debris that had landed on the road or anywhere else had been swept up.
I used to live on the woodlots in Fletcher, and had hired loggers for jobs there several times.  Some of those jobs were dangerous, but none took place in such a confined, suburban space as this job.
I was really awed by Barrett's professionalism and skill.  And the bid price was fair, and they were there on time.
I live in the North Williston "Williston Woods" development, with mobile homes on small lots.  I have seen Barretts in here frequently, and have watched their work from a distance.  They have a great reputation here.
I would certainly hire them again.  They did a superb job!
