"We needed our entire roof replaced. The group of installers did an outstanding job. They were so efficient and thorough in all aspects including an immaculate clean up of the property afterwards. The lead for the crew, and the project manager were so personable and communicative!! Our roof looks great and we would absolutely recommend them to anyone that needs roofing work done on their structure."

"Excellent as far as I know so far. Got just in on time for major snowfall with new roof so will see if any leaks come through where we had had trouble before. Manny was pleasant and professional to deal with. I liked how he took pictures to show where the areas of concern were and updated me as the day went on and new work had to be done. His worker worked tirelessly all day long. The cleanup of debris was impeccable."

Small jobs welcome

"Adam and his team did an amazing job on completing a backyard fence for my family. He was hardworking and detailed with the work. Kept me updated through every step of the way from the permit process, ordering materials and check-ins as the build was happening. Our fence is great! He also completed a custom railing and gate to attach to our existing deck. Will definitely be using we do it all again for future projects."

"I was very impressed with this company from the beginning. They were very responsive from the initial review and quote, then determining a timeline that worked within our requirements and finally to delivering a high quality completed roof. They brought a full team to the job who were professional and cleaned up completely when they were done. I'd recommend them anytime."

"First of all, Maria in the office was amazing in communicating when Manny and his crew would be there. Maria and Manny both responded the same day often in hours about any questions we had. We called originally for water damage we felt was cause by a bad door install. Manny took a look and showed us that the damage was worse than we thought. The water damage was coming from above. Our whole side of our house was damaged by wind and water. Manny wrote me the estimate on the spot and when i asked how soon he could start he said now. Manny and his crew finished the entire job in 2 days. They worked from 8am til 7 each day, and they replaced our door correctly. All the sheathing and vinyl siding had to be replaced on the north side of the house. Manny found the exact match of color for the vinyl. In addition when Manny was up above he noticed the caps on our roof were in bad shape and tiles on our roof had worn down at the peak. Again we asked Manny for an estiimate and then we agreed to let him to take care of it. Manny and his crew can back and finished in 1 day:). None of this was upselling by Manny. It was obvious there was extensive damage and it needed to be fixed immediately. Manny did not pressure us , he just showed us what was going on. After a week we decided we wanted a change to the bottom of our door and Manny came out and changed it in a few hours. We ended up getting thousands of dollars of work done for a price that was more than reasonable. The quality of work that was done, the communication and professsionalism was unmatched in my experince with an contractor or repair business we have dealt with. If I could give them 7 stars i would. My wife and I were extremely happy. Price, workmanship, speed of work, dependability all top notch. In additon their consultant Ed was fantastic. He came to our house and gave us the initial estimate for our water damage (that ended up being more severe) and told us who Allstate Quality Construction was and that they are a family business wtith over 23 years experience. It was a bad situation for us that turned our very good. Thank you so much Manny, Maria and the rest of your family. I will recommend your company any chance i can!"

Siding questions, answered by experts

Yes, insulated vinyl siding increases the R-value of your home. Depending on the quality and brand of the insulated vinyl, you can get an R-value that is up to 5 times greater than traditional vinyl siding. This can be fantastic for homeowners who are trying to lower their utility costs.

Vinyl log siding is durable, rot-resistant, colorfast, and scratch-resistant, and it can last for an average of around 30 years. Some vinyl siding can last for up to 60 years with proper maintenance. You won’t need to repaint or restain this type of siding every several years like you would with wood, so ongoing costs and upkeep will be minimal. Although it’s relatively low maintenance, you should still wash your vinyl log siding twice per year. Doing so will increase its longevity, remove any mold, and retain your home’s curb appeal.

You should plan to stain or refinish your home's cedar siding every three to seven years to maintain its appearance and provide maximum protection, though some estimates suggest a range of four to six years. The exact frequency depends on several factors, including your local climate, exposure to severe weather like direct sunlight, rain, and wind, the quality of the initial stain application, the type of stain used, and the overall condition and quality of the wood.

For homes in harsh climates with high humidity and significant sun exposure, you should plan on staining as often as every three years, while those in milder locations may only need to do so every seven years. For the longest-lasting protection in particularly harsh climates, consider using an opaque stain.

If you are looking for a lower-maintenance alternative, you might consider vinyl or aluminum siding. While the initial installation cost can be higher, they do not require as much upkeep and can offer more value over time, especially in areas with excessive rainfall or high humidity.

The lifespan of siding ranges from 20 to over 100 years, depending heavily on the material, climate, quality of installation, and maintenance.

  • Vinyl, Wood, and Aluminum: Typically last 20 to 40 years. Engineered wood may need replacement after just 20 years.

  • Fiber Cement: Lasts around 50 years.

  • Brick and Stone: These are the most durable, lasting for a century or more with proper care.

The longevity of any siding can be shortened if it's not properly maintained or if damage is not repaired promptly. Regular cleaning is vital. It's time for a replacement when you see widespread damage, signs of water intrusion, or a spike in energy costs.

For the materials alone, a square of siding costs an average of $600, but prices can range from $100 to $3,000, depending on the material. Vinyl siding costs toward the lower end of that range, while real brick or stone siding costs closer to the higher end. Keep in mind that many boxes of siding contain two squares, enough to cover 200 square feet, so you may need to double your cost if you only need one square.
