"I was very impressed with Sentri Homes - their customer service was excellent. They sent a subcontractor to install some vinyl laminate in my bathroom and he ended up getting glue all over the carpet in our bedroom. The sub ended up ghosting both me and Sentri, leaving me stuck with a ruined carpet. Sentri stuck with me for over a month to get the carpet replaced with the identical original and to get the vinyl job 100% completed. The carpet was a Home Depot exclusive and Sentri handled everything with them. I will be using Sentri for a much bigger renovation I have coming up soon, because I know that they will make sure everything gets done right no matter what problems come up. The vinyl looks great too."

"We used Sentry Exteriors to install new gutters and gutter guards. Tara, the office manager, and Ted the sales rep were delightful to work with and we found them to be professional, helpful and accessible. The price we .paid for the gutters plus the guards was almost $2,000 less than a quote from another company that only covered the guards."

"They were very professional and courteous.

They notified me of any abnormalities that arose that needed my attention.

While installing they noticed that not all of my doors matched so I had to head back to the store.

They were great with quality control and asked me to open & shut the first installed door to see how easily it skimmed the carpet.

Thus making adjustments to my liking.  They left the work area nice an clean too.

"Logan and Jeremy are exactly who you should contact for exemplary customer service and phenomenal construction work. After our initial quote, my husband and I felt like we’ve known Logan for years. He was honest and straightforward. We could tell his interest wasn’t in “making a buck”, it was listening to us and suggesting realistic solutions. Integrity is everything and he definitely has it. The finished porch is EXACTLY what we wanted. It is perfect. They even came back a few days later to attach a door sweep and install a particular type of latch I wanted. Give TCG Construction LLC a call, you will be impressed!"

Home Building questions, answered by experts

Hiring a reliable home builder is an essential task, but there are a few questions you can ask a potential builder to ensure you they are trustworthy and up to the task:

  • How long do you expect the process to take?

  • Are you fully licensed and insured?

  • How much of the work will you subcontract?

  • Will you pull all of the necessary permits for the job?

  • How long is the builder’s warranty you include with your work?

  • How do you handle resolution for issues I might have with the finished product?

  • How much experience do you have?

Modular homes are more affordable than stick-built homes if you keep quality and square footage equal. The cost to build a home averages $323,000, while average modular home prices sit at {AvgCost}. If you’re looking for custom or luxury options, a traditional custom home costs $825,000, while a high-end modular home costs $600,000, on average.

Framing is often the most expensive phase of building a house because it’s time-consuming and requires a lot of materials. It costs between $20,000 and $50,000 on average, depending on materials and labor costs. Before construction begins, it’s possible that purchasing land is the priciest step in the process. Some plots of land sell for $3,000, while others cost upwards of $150,000.

An A-frame home can be cheaper to build than a traditional house, but that is not always a given. Prices can be fairly similar in some cases, depending on the location, design, and necessary site preparation. Costs for an A-frame typically run between $100 to $200 per square foot, which is comparable to the cost of a traditional home. The cost of an A-frame can come in under those numbers if you opt for a prefabricated kit.

Local regulations dictate how big an ADU can be, and there may also be restrictions on the percentage of the main residence’s square footage an ADU can have. In most cases, an ADU must be smaller than the main residence, but check with your local building authority to confirm restrictions on ADU size.
