"The owner came down to give us an estimate on what it would take to fix standing water issue in a house we were looking at purchasing. He performed a thorough inspection on what was causing the water to sit in the crawlspace and went over what would be required to keep the moisture and water from affecting the structural integrity of the house. While we did not end up purchasing the home, we greatly appreciated his willingness to come down and do an inspection and give us an estimate. They were recommended by my stepdad who had them do a crawlspace encapsulation on his house. He said they perform first class workmanship and were professional. The owner also came back after the work was finished to ensure that everything was done correctly. Would recommend to anyone needing any work done on their crawlspace."

"The contracted the work off to a third party. Jon took longer than expected. The windows was installed pretty good from the looks. Communication could have been better with knowing the job will take longer and what types of trims I wanted for the windows. As the contractor that was hired for this job by this company. Did a good job with putting up decent trim. As for the new windows they look great. I purchased the myself and hired sentri homes to install them. I will need to have a my siding on my house redone to be closer to the new windows so the gaps are not so obvious. That was not expected at first. But from old storm windows and not knowing how they were put in originally. There was some unknown things that was learned from the job being completed. I will have the siding of the house slightly done to match really good for what I wanted later on. My only concern is better communication with sentri homes. Overall they were great when I did talk to them."

"I had a small but complicated, hard to access, and structurally essential repair job on a 60-year-old concrete deck attached to my 280-year-old Pennsylvania limestone farmhouse. I contacted several masons listed for my area on Home Advisor, and included Mr. Grady as a long shot -- I read about his expertise with historical structures and wished I had access to such an expert craftsman, but I didn't think he'd be interested in my teeny job and assumed I wouldn't be able to afford him anyway. He was the first one to return my call and to look at the job, and I thought his price was fair. I believe now it was way more than fair, considering the time he spent. He did extensive research, going over a structural engineer's report I had done previously on the deck and even examining the original architectural drawings and materials invoices from 1959. He showed up at least three times to complete the repair in stages, and has been back a half a dozen times since then to check the job -- and my location is not exactly in his neighborhood. He accepted only enough payment in advance to pay for lodging for himself and his assistant when they stayed nearby one night in order to be there early the next morning. He gave and continues to give free advice about preserving my stone house and patio. If you prod him a little, he might even share some of his personal philosophy, earned over a lifetime of work that is clearly more of an art form than a job to him. Overall, I'd say you can hire one of many competent contractors and get an adequate job, or you can hire Mr. Grady and get superior work by someone who cares about your property as much as you do."

"Had almost half of one side of my mobile home's power go out. I tried for an hour contacting every licensed electrician i could. They either wouldn't come for a month, or would give me someone else to contact. I managed to find Rife's remodeling and call. Immediately answered and asked the issue. Now keep in mind this is a call he received out of the blue while driving presumably to another work site. He asked when I'd like him to come by. I said "I wish it could be checked today, but seeing how everyone else has been, when do you have time available." or similar. He promised that day he'd be by to check it out, and he was. Only 2 hours and he came, and diagnosed the problem quick. Sadly it was already getting late, and he couldn't fix it the same night. he scheduled as early as i wanted the next day for his guys to come and do the repair. They came when I asked, and did a good job. The gentlemen were also a pleasure to hold conversations with while they worked, and were respectful. Mr Rife himself was a pleasure to talk to, and has a very professional air about him. I have a lot of work I need done, and after meeting him I have NO doubt he is the one I need to hire for all of my remodeling. I strongly recommend him to everyone. no longer should you have to worry that your contractor knows what he is doing. "With the recent snow melt and the rain we are having this may be a timely recommendation. I hope you don’t have this need, but if you do I would like to recommend Master Service Company. We had at least six estimates for waterproofing our basement and although not nearly the cheapest, we were impressed by the presentation and the personnel and low key sales approach. So, we hired them! The work was done last week and again we were impressed with the crew doing the work, the care given to hold down the dust created, the quality of the materials used, and the willingness of the crew to keep us apprised of the job as it progressed. The was great care given to cleanup of what is a very messy job. We waited until the repair had been “battle tested”, (and this inclement weather has certainly accomplished that) before writing a recommendation. We could not be more pleased at this point.
