I received notice he was on his son were on their way. After a short visit I was told he needed to price some material and I will be sent his quote Monday. I accepted the offer. The following Saturday Chris and his son arrived to install a Apriaire steam humidifier. After installation I was given a short tutorial on it's operation. Also was shown the very neat outside wiring placement. All this was done by our word, no contract, no sales person just each others trust. "We had failed to shut off a humidifier supply line properly.  So the mechanic purported that we have had mold growing growing in the system (black gunk, if you will).  The mechanic then tried to conflate this issue into a big clean-up.  We said we would get back to him. A subsequent visit by our HVAC service firm confirmed that his concerns were BS.  The company in question needs better analytical skills- perhaps taking a sample for testing would have been a better way to "sell" their concerns.  Mold is a very tricky thing- but we do not love this company's approach.  The only consolation to consumers is that there are far worse companies in this line of work, for sure."
