"Wall oven burner not working and Baker's came in and quickly identified the problem and worked through the root cause and corrective actions to repair this issue.
This is the third time I've used them and I find them to be terrific.
Derrick was the tech and, again, terrific experience, he walked through and explained the problem in layman's terms.

"When they inspected my chimney they discovered that my chimney was was never rebuilt correctly, they took pictures that showed mortar was only partially applied and there were cracks . They filled in and sealed what was needed. They also advised me to have my chimney cleaned after burning a cord of word. They offered a warranty on their work and will keep a record of what was done with the pictures. I was pleased especially after I have had more the a few companies clean my chimney and even had one iinstall an insert and no one ever mentioned the condition of my chimney.

"It turned out fine. We ended up modifying the package that they had. We had to pay for the higher priced service because we're also having them monitor fire protection. So it came with two fire sensors. Everything went smooth!"

Dummy chimneys can either be aesthetic-only or fully functional and can be installed on both new and older homes. Whether installed to match your neighborhood’s aesthetic or to vent your chimney, dummy chimneys are made out of a Glass-Reinforced Plastic (GRP) core, then covered with brick or stone slips to look like a traditional chimney.

The easiest fireplace to build is an electric fireplace. These aren’t true fireplaces but can mimic the look of a traditional fireplace. True fireplaces, made of brick and stone, are complex and require professional installation; adding them to an existing home is demanding and expensive. You could spend $30,000 to have a real fireplace installed.

Minor cleaning and maintenance are DIY-friendly, but professionals should handle structural or electrical repairs.

The damper, located just above the firebox, can open or close the chimney flue. The damper should remain closed unless there’s a fire burning in the fireplace.
