The Junkluggers of Winchester and Martinsburg is a veteran owned small business focused on sustainable junk removal. Our model is to limit items going to landfill. We work with both commercial and residential clients. The Junkluggers offers free estimates and same day appointments. Our crews are licensed, insured, and background checked. We can declutter your home, office, garage, yard, and shed. We also help with large items such as pianos and hot tubs. We can handle most anything including appliances, couches, lawnmowers, and grills. About the only thing we can't help you with is single home weekly trash service or hazardous waste removal.

"The Junkluggers are very professional, timely, and customer focused. I highly recommend!"

The owner is dedicated to the client in making sure all of their needs are met beyond a reasonable doubt. R.A.M. Lawn Care, LLC is faith based and an integrity motivated entity. Driven by hard work and discipline, the owner will never cheat or display an image of nonchalance towards his client's property, and/or suggestions. R.A.M. Lawn Care, LLC is rather new from a company standpoint, but the owner has worked long and hard under his father's guidance for over 10 years. The owner's father owns/owned his own janitorial business, and is now looking to retire. Not wanting to steal my father's name, business, and his outright legacy in what he has created, I wanted to start my own business, under my own name, and gain the same respect my father has with his time in the industry. R.A.M. Lawn Care, LLC is licensed, insured, and bonded. This small business takes pride in the work and seeing that the client is taken care of on all fronts. The owner believes in being upfront and honest, but also being very personable and open to all questions and suggestions. I pray my hard work makes your day easier. GOD BLESS, Morgan Tyler Crawford, Owner of R.A.M. Lawn Care, LLC

"Terrible! I have been a customer since April 2015 and while there have been good days, sadly I can only count them on one hand. Here are the issues: 1. Employees smash the trash cans on the pavement after emptying into truck. 2. Employees repeatedly leave the trash can in front of the driveway. 3. Scheduled trash pick up has changed again, most recent letter from Kevin Edwards, District Manager, (undated) received 12 July 2019 states there will only be one pickup a week, now on Thursdays. And by the way we are "reducing your fee" by a whopping "10%"! Wow, I am still paying 90% for half the service. 4. With a trash pickup on Thursdays, those of us that take care of household chores on the weekend, now have all this trash on our property for nearly a week. Not to mention, corn cobs and ribs from our BBQ that cannot go in the garbage disposal -- this is truly an invitation for bugs, rodents, raccoons and certainly does nothing for the aroma in our garages. Recommendations: 1. Take a look at the systemic problems you have. The letter states labor shortages -- this would only make sense if American Disposal has refused to pay its employees a decent wage. Which, according to several former drivers who have moved on is exactly the first problem. 2. Take a look at what your paying your District Manager and other mid-level employees -- if they haven't jumped ship maybe you've been compensating them well at the expense of those on the trucks who are the face and backbone of your business. 3. Please provide a phone number on your letters. The fact that you've allowed no "human" element to your issues is disappointing and makes me wonder if you're not on the same plane as a robo-caller. Thank you and please feel free to contact me. I am a Montclair resident."

Garbage Collection questions, answered by experts

Garbage disposals fit the drains of nearly every sink out there due to universal drain hole sizes of 3 1/2 to 4 inches, but the same isn’t true for the housing underneath the sink. You need plenty of room to fit a garbage disposal under there, so measure the space ahead of time and use those dimensions when shopping for a new model. If you’re replacing an existing model, get one in that size.

These appliances do unscrew, but you need to disconnect everything properly when you replace your garbage disposal. Make sure you shut the power off to the area first and check that it’s off with a voltage detector. Disconnect the main drain line and P-trap, and then disconnect the dishwasher drain line if you have one connected. You can then unscrew your garbage disposal using a disposal wrench. Just make sure you disconnect the electrical lines before removing your appliance.

Your garbage disposal is not draining because it might have a clog due to food waste, a foreign object, grease, oil, fat, or it may have a broken motor. When water doesn't flush out of the disposal, that's a key sign that your disposal has a clog or needs repair.

There are many maintenance and repair issues that lead to a malfunctioning garbage disposal. Regular clogs place wear and tear on the motors, leading to an eventual shutdown. Electrical issues at the breaker, wall outlet, or disposal itself can fry the unit. The most common cause is simply a worn-down motor. These motors can only handle so much use before powering down for good.

Replacing a garbage disposal costs anywhere from $150 to $950, but the average cost is somewhere around $550. There are two types of garbage disposal units, and continuous feed disposals tend to cost more than batch feed disposals. Going for an aluminum garbage disposal is also significantly cheaper than choosing a stainless steel garbage disposal. You'll also need to factor in the horsepower of the motor, labor, and the removal and disposal of your old unit.
