"Jason did a great job! He was very responsive, quick to reply, and always had open communication with us through the whole Home Inspection process. He was happy to explain things in detail as needed so we could fully understand his findings during the home inspection."

"Awesome professional. Andrew got on the roof, which many inspectors won’t or get by trying to use drones. At completion, I got a thorough report that gives me a roadmap of maintenance things to work on. I’d recommend this service for home buying as well as for periodic check ups for home owners. Would highly recommend and will use this service again in the future."

"I did not realize I was dealing with a service in the beginning and was very suspicious about the idea until I heard a most pleasant, welcoming voice on my initial call. The salesman.delivered his information in a concise, but detailed, manner; the office manager quickly scheduled our appointment knowing of our severe drainage problems and the project manager who inspected the project twice to assure the installers completed a perfect job, which they certainly did. I can't remember a more delightful experience than with this knowledgeable, professional company with their totally dedicated and responsible employees. 10 Stars!"

"I have been dealing with two leaks in my house one from the roof and one from the HVAC system. The insurance company is dragging their feet. It started in November 20 24. It is now February 2025 and it’s still not fixed. Pro Clean has been a godsent if it was not for Pro Clean. I think I would’ve went crazy. They have stood beside me the whole time they have advocated for me with the insurance company and as a single woman they have helped me with contractors that I could trust if you need anything as far as mold, leaks anything like that you need to call this guy the owner Peter is the sweetest man you will ever meet. I cannot praise this company enough if you want me to give them a score from 1 to 10 it would be 1,000,000,000. If you’re a single lady and you need some stuff done in your house I guarantee you these guys are the best."

"59Handyman was hired to repair water damage to the ceiling of the master bedroom in my home. This included inspection of any further damage, repair of the drywall, as well as fixing the seams and re-painting the entire ceiling. Victor was communicative and efficient, he provided a 2-year warranty on the repair, the work he did made the space look and feel as good as new. He was clean and respectful of my home. Since the experience was so good I would not hesitate to have Victor and 59Handyman repair or renovate in the future. A trustworthy professional."

"Fernando was very professional, courteous and knowledgeable. We hired Skyfall to inspect our roof which had been replaced due to substandard installation and would have leaked within a year. Fernando spent about 45 minutes up on our roof, checking the installation and taking photos. He gave us a written report with photographs of the problems he found so we can make the other roofing company repair those. Aftger dealing with Fernando we would not hesitate to hire them to roof a house for us. Thanks Fernando and Skyfall Exteriors"

Home Inspection questions, answered by experts

Generally, no. Most homeowners insurance policies will not cover polybutylene pipes because they are considered defective and high-risk. Damage from these pipes, such as leaks, may not be covered as it often doesn't fall under the category of "sudden and accidental" damage. Some insurance companies may even threaten to terminate a policy if the pipes are not replaced. While you should review your personal policy for specific details, you will most likely need to pay for the pipe replacement yourself. It is advisable to prioritize repiping your home to avoid costly, uncovered water damage.

No, homeowners insurance typically does not cover the cost of removing a dead, sick, or rotting tree that is still standing. Insurance is designed to protect against sudden and unexpected accidents, whereas a tree dying or rotting over time is considered a maintenance issue. Coverage usually only applies after a tree has fallen and caused damage to your property.

If you are considering buying a home with a cesspool, you will need to weigh the potential costs and hassles. Your primary decision will be whether to maintain the existing system or replace it. Maintaining a cesspool involves ongoing expenses for services like aeration, pumping, and cleaning. Alternatively, you could dismantle the system and replace it with a modern septic tank or connect to a public sewage line, which involves significant upfront costs. It is also crucial to check local and state regulations, as some jurisdictions require that cesspools be replaced before a home can be sold. Ultimately, you must decide for yourself if the financial investment and effort are worth it for the property in question.

Using your realtor’s inspector may potentially speed up the home-buying process in that realtors are unlikely to recommend someone they’ve had prior difficulties with regarding scheduling or report turnaround time. There are other factors to consider, though—you don’t want a rushed inspection or a partial report. It’s more important that you work with a home inspector who can do a thorough assessment and explain any issues to you clearly.

Beyond looking for visible signs of mold in a home, you can tell if your house has mold by undertaking testing. You can hire a local mold testing company to run the test for you, giving you a sure answer. Professional testing is often the best way to determine whether you have mold, as some types of mold may grow in places where you can’t easily see them, such as behind walls.
